OK, so one of the people at the movie last night was Venus Flytrap from WKRP in Cincinati, real name Tim Reid. The prevailing wisdom in emails today is that I am a total loser for not ever having watched this show, or knowing who he was. Now, if they said “Lt Downtown Brown from Simon & Simon” that reference I would have got.
Anyway, does that qualify as a bona fide celebrity sighting? Blackfive seems to think so, but I am still up in the air.
I think Venus makes the celebrity sighting cut. Dr. Johnny Fever, yes. Bailey Quarters, yes. Jennifer Marlowe, two big “Yes”. (Thanks, I will be here all day)

Oh no, BNG, Mr. Carlson (Gordon Jump) makes the cut. As for Venus, yep, he’s on the list.
Sadly, Gordon Jump is no longer with us, so sighting him at an event is not likely. TSO, you need to get WKRP on DVD:

Some people seem to be a bit hacked off that the original music cuts have been replaced for the DVD versions, however. YMMV.
Now, where can I see some Simon & Simon episodes?
I know Gordon (he, also, had taken over for the original Maytag repairman) has left us, but I was referring to BNG stating he wouldn’t make the cut, from the show.
Simon and Simon were on Slueth Channel for a while and I think TVLand had them on for a while. Haven’t noticed if they are still on, though.
