Soldier films TikTok video while conducting an airborne drop. Cranberry juice and Fleetwood Mac are involved.

More proof that social media is a tool of the devil. Task and Purpose is reporting;

A soldier has one-upped everyone filming themselves skating while drinking cranberry juice and singing along with Fleetwood Mac with a new version of the beloved TikTok meme that was filmed hundreds of feet in the air.

The video of the unidentified soldier — posted by TikTok user @A_Drew22 on Saturday — shows him under a parachute canopy singing along to “Dreams” and drinking from a jug of cranberry juice. It was captioned with “AATW,” an apparent reference to Airborne, All the Way.

“That’s awesome,” tweeted Patrick Murphy, former acting secretary of the Army.

The Army has said they are looking into the soldier’s actions for potential safety violations as airborne operations are “inherently dangerous,” but it doesn’t seem like they are taking it too seriously. After all, it’s not like he wore a dinosaur puppet on his hand.

More at the source. Apparently combining cranberry juice and Fleetwood Mac’s Dreams are a thing in the world of social media challenges. It’s better than Tide Pods or tablespoons of cinnamon I guess. Cranberry juice will help keep the kids from getting a UTI at least.

    1. thanks for the edit, was an autofill… and it just did it to another post.

i need to refresh my OPSEC training

      1. Seems every photo and video on the internet is a mirror image.
One of those things that keep me up at night.
Another one is the “detach at dotted line” when the line never
lines up with the fold. Never.

  2. Heh heh! Officially Platoon Daddy is chewing azz. Unofficially, that Trooper got a 3 day pass. If anyone asks, he’s doing precious metals recovery, alone, on the range.

I say use the video as a recruiting tool.

  3. Jumped with a few young ass strap hangers in my day.

All kinds of shit falling out of the sky. Coke cans, snickers bars, you name it.

DZ looked like the aftermath of a all night party.

      1. Don’t forget Kapods!

The thing with all of the stuff mentioned is that it burns in…

Candy Bar wrappers float with you and give you something to look at…

      2. I remember one time I had a bottle of Maalox in my ruck. I got all fucking turned around on the exit and wound up dropping my ruck at an odd angle while oscillating.

Anyway, the bottle exploded but I did not know as we had to move out.

Later that night, I kept fucking getting bit and did not know why. Fucking ants attracted to the bottle. When the bottle busted, it cut through my trash bag lining the bottle (and others) and soaked everything. I fucking glowed in the dark, had literal “ants in my pants” and had a sickly sweet smell.

Finally had to cross a river to get the shit clean.

        Rough.

  4. Never jumped out of a perfectly good airplane.
But if the airborne trooper policed up after his gulp-&-jump, I can’t be angry. I might feign angry, for reasons, but I’d be more likely to tell him to pack up, clean up, and go home for the weekend and don’t come back until I calm down on Tuesday. (chuckle)

This is how legends are made.

    1. As any good airborne trooper will tell you “there’s no such thing as a perfectly good airplane.” 😉

    1. I was about to comment about that. What has changed? Dude jumps right before getting out with his pet fish: All hell breaks loose and dude gets Article 15.

This guy films an entire damn VIDEO and everyone is like “that’s awesome.”

Man, im so glad im retired.

  5. If he was one of my Joes I’d just give him weekend Police Call Duty and call it at that!
