Come up with a different term that acknowledges he IS president but that you still hate him because while he ostensibly does all those things conservatives have wanted for decades he’s still bad because he’s icky and gross and did not come to Washington through the acceptable paths.

I did, quite nicely, of clear head, things went smoothly, although I did hear through Book of Face(which I now earned a restriction for about 30 days) of the death of one of my more senion squadron members who wasn’t in the best of health, unbenonst to me, kinda.
I shed a few tears as it wa the first of my “crew” since arriving in 1988 and departing in 2007, that has passed.
Inevitable, but still painful, and not anything that would have driven me to head to the hotel tiki bar which was 50 feet away.
Still I enjoyed my time with kids and getting home as always. Seems as an adult, vacations aren’t as much vacations when you have other responsibilities, but still, heartening, nonetheless.
Thanks for the welcome home and I’m kinda proud of myself.

I had many a “working vacation” thru out the years, where it was more work for me and the vacating was done by others. That you don’t like what happened afterwards doesn’t make you a heroic whistleblower, it makes you a whiny nudge who didn’t get his way after requesting updates to a transcript that even the Democrats admitted had no bearing on their understanding of the call. It’s not like what Vindman wanted to add was some earth shattering news and would fundamentally change the nature of the phone call or how we all understood what was happening.
Trump had made it clear in several other places, including the Ambassador to the EU that an investigation into Biden’s actions would be of interest to Trump.
The “…” that Vindman wanted to alter didn’t change any of that.
That’s the problem, Vindman’s earth shattering changes would have made little difference to the understanding of the call and to the process of the investigation as a whole.
He showed that he didn’t approve of the CinC’s actions and the CinC understood that reality and sent him packing.
No different than Obama sending Stanley McChrystal on his way for running his mouth.
Sometimes your boss gets to shit can you when you disagree with them, simply because your disagreement makes the boss think you’re a disloyal or simply difficult subordinate that adds no value to the operation.
