Professor Proposes Federal Level Department of Anti-racism Department

Professor Ibram Kendi of American University proposes a Department of Anti-racism. (GOPUSA)

American University’s Ibram Kendi proposed a federal level Department of Anti-racism. Their job will be to remove people, policies, and statements deemed racist. Based on the trends of what gets labeled as “racist”, this appears to be a “group think enforcer”. Kendi suggests that this department would clear local, state, and federal policies before implementation.

To fix the original sin of racism, Americans should pass an anti-racist amendment to the U.S. Constitution that enshrines two guiding anti-racist principals: Racial inequity is evidence of racist policy and the different racial groups are equals. The amendment would make unconstitutional racial inequity over a certain threshold, as well as racist ideas by public officials (with “racist ideas” and “public official” clearly defined). It would establish and permanently fund the Department of Anti-racism (DOA) comprised of formally trained experts on racism and no political appointees. The DOA would be responsible for preclearing all local, state and federal public policies to ensure they won’t yield racial inequity, monitor those policies, investigate private racist policies when racial inequity surfaces, and monitor public officials for expressions of racist ideas. The DOA would be empowered with disciplinary tools to wield over and against policymakers and public officials who do not voluntarily change their racist policy and ideas.

    Also, this comes from Boston University which produced such stellar thinkers as Sandy Cortez, so they have lost any and all credability.

They’ve decided that playing both sides is the best way to stoke division and maintain power, which after all has been their goal all along…

      I see this as just a “sounds good solution to a feels good issue”.

      Having grown up in the 50s and 60s of the south, in a state which was controlled by Democrats, (This is not an attempted jab at your political views. It is just the truth as it was then), I saw racism up close, really close. I can say though, that in my view, it is better today by an order or two of magnitude than it was then.

      There are a lot of good programs and opportunities for people available. I only wish more would take advantage of them.

  11. Create a new federal level department that would be able to punish policy makers and public officials who do not “voluntarily” change their “racist” policies and ideas…wow.

    Every single policy from a local, state and federal level would have to go through this department which would consist of unelected officials who are “formally trained experts”…speechless.

    So, basically create an amendment that would completely undo the Constitution and put pseudo academics in charge of the entire country. From top to bottom.
