Motorist Shoots BLM Protester Dead

Observant viewers show the “victim” in a threatening posture. (The Donald Win)

According to one account, the protester banged on the car and subsequently got shot. However, the audio shows what appears to be two different gunfire sounds. The protester may have fired first, causing the driver to feel threatened. The driver fired back. The police took the driver into custody. The driver cooperated with the police.

From BPR Business & Politics:

The Austin Police Department, which was on hand and allowing protesters to take control of the streets, took the shooter into custody and the man is cooperating with authorities, according to The Statesman.

“One adult male victim was located with a gunshot wound,” Officer Katrina Ratcliff said, before confirming that the man was transported to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead. “Initial reports indicate that the victim may have been carrying a rifle and approached the suspect vehicle. Suspect was in the vehicle and shot at the victim. Suspect was detained and is cooperating with officers.”

  1. Approaching a vehicle in a unfriendly crowd with a rifle is just asking to get shot. This is Texas, nuff said.

  2. He gave his life for the cause. Did not mean to but
most Marxists don’t realize that is their role until
after the Revolution is over and they are not in charge.

  3. There is a video of a reporter interviewing the recently deceased (before he assumed room temperature), and Numbnuts spoke how he would not be engaging the Po-Po because they would clean his clock, and the people he planned on intimidating would not respond because they are “pussies”. Some pussies have claws. Sucks being him.

    1. Saw the same and can confirm.
It looks like that ‘Air Force Veteran’ never got; sense, values, ROE or escalation of force drilled into him.

    2. Why do people give incriminating statements so willfully?

It’s like that cop that told his co-workers that he’d shoot anyone who comes knocking on his door. His partner comes to the door and blam-blam, kills his partner AFTER looking through the peephole, shooting through the door.

  4. That gun the “victim” is carrying around: was he planning on hunting elephants or something?

    1. That 7.62×39 cartridge would just piss off an elephant.

.45-70 is a -light- round for pachyderms.

True elephant guns are something like a .458 Winchester Magnum or bigger.

        1. Crew served weapon.

One shot per minute with a highly trained crew.

          Maximum effective range, 2000 cm.

Accuracy rated at 2400 minutes of an angle.

      1. This oxygen thief was interviewed before he got ventilated. His response when asked if he would use his AK: “Nah, I mean if I use it against the Cops I’m dead, I think all the people that hate us and, you know, want to say shit to us are too big of pussies to stop and actually do anything about it”. He chose his words poorly. Mr. Foster: kindly assume your rightful place at room temperature. Thank you.

        1. “Nah, I mean if I use it against the Cops I’m dead, I think all the people that hate us and, you know, want to say shit to us are too big of pussies to stop and actually do anything about it”.

That should be engraved on his headstone.

  5. “I was in fear for my life. I will cooperate. I want a lawyer.” The STFU. Better to be judged by 12 than carried by 6!

Your right to peacefully assemble/protest ends when you impede my right to free passage on a public road and approach me and/or mine, in a threatening manner, with a weapon.

And WTF is up with the police “allowing” the blockage of public roads. Another reason I carry, concealed, everywhere I go. Everywhere!

  6. Well earned idiot the victim
Was the driver of the car not the idiot
    Who is at room temp

  7. Actually, it should read “Motorist shoots BLM rioter Dead”. They weren’t protesting, they were trying to get a riot going so they could Burn, Loot, Murder, or BLM.

  8. I suppose it was bound to happen since they let this crap continue. I fear this won’t be the last or the worst, either.

    1. Pick a city with a dem mayor, then watch as the police are ordered to stand down and let the protesters turn into rioters.
It’s like watching a 3 year old. Tell them no, they can’t throw their favorite toy at the TV and they’ll quit trying. Let them throw it, thinking they won’t hit it and they’ll keep on trying til the Thomas the Tank engine is buried in the 60″ Smart TV.

      1. Exactly. First couple nights of rioting in Denver, the police stood up to em, and cleared the streets. The someone decided to get woke, and since then, the cops have been told to stand down and let the rioters go, even doing nothing when the terrorists attacked speakers at a “Back the Blue” rally…
All the good cops are trying to find a way to retire / leave, which sadly means they’ll be replaced with more compliant and “desirable” cops.. This is NOT an accident, part of the plans of the left, to install their own Brownshirts.

        1. Yes it is. Left allows riffraff to destroy order, Left blames Trump, Biden elected, Socialist utopia!

          1. “Wow! What happened to whipping the crap out of kids for doing things like that?” FIFY

  9. Unfortunately, Austin is run by a (D) group of politicians – i.e. commies. Worse than the (D) commies in Houston and DFW so far, but not by much.

The mayor and city council have been at war with our (R) Governor & Lt. Governor for several years now.

They want Austin to become like Portland and Seattle.

  10. It’s a little hard to tell from the cell phone video, but six shots are audible. The last sounds distinctly different from the first five. The first five certainly sound like rifle shots. The last one definitely sounds more pistol-ish.

Coupled with his earlier declaration that everyone opposing/not aligned with him is “too big a pussy to do anything about it” (oh, that’s priceless! ), it sounds to me like Anqueefa-Tough-Guy here fired multiple times before the motorist put one center-mass on him.

    1. All “vet’rans” are not created equal– PowerPoint guru does not equal Snake-eater.

  11. I see this entire thing, from the start of the CV19 virus stuff, to today’s out-of-control rampages by overgrown brats with nothing to do, as a massive conspiracy on the part of the Democraptastic Party to overthrow the legitimate government of the USA and install tyranny upon us.

That’s my story and I’m stsickin’ to it. Anyone want lunch?

      1. Testify Sister! What we conspiracy theorists have been saying for months.

Imma frying up some hickory smoked rashers for BLM (Bacon Lettuce ‘Maters) sammiches.

    1. Unfortunately, I agree with you. Im I alone in feeling deeply hurt by this? This hurts…… why? Why did we risk EVERYTHING for these people? I’m sorry fellow vets. Im sorry…i need help.

    1. That very well could be. I read one article (I think it was on Military Times?) that said he was discharged from the Air Force while still only 19 years old.

      1. Claims are that he was released from the AF early to take care of his quad girlfriend.

Pretty sure that doesn’t qualify for a hardship discharge. Me thinks he was booted for some reason.

        1. If you have a handicapped dependent, you move to the front of the line for base housing, which is usually reconfigured to accommodate those in wheelchairs. Not only that, you can score a prime spot at the commissary and exchange.

          1. True. But to qualify as “dependent” shouldn’t you also be married, father, mother, etc??
            I don’t think “girlfriend” counts.

      2. No offense to the AF, but Bill Badazz here is playin’ it off like he was an operator but probably only touched a long gun (M-16A2) at Lackland ever.

        1. If then. He probably had a dental appointment the day they did the firearms orientation.

Rule Number 1: Don’t point your weapon at anything you do not intend to shoot. Saw the photo of him up on that automobile with the rifle in his shoulder. That’s a great way to get shot. Maybe his fellow mostly peaceful demonstrators have learned that others in Texas carry firearms too.

  12. UPDATE
Austin police release man who says he fatally shot protester.
Garrett Foster, 28, died after being shot multiple times

    By Robert Gearty
A man who admitted to fatally shooting an armed Black Lives Matter protester in Austin on Saturday night was taken into custody and then released pending further investigation, the Texas city’s police chief said.

Chief Brian Manley said detectives assigned to the homicide unit detained the man and interviewed him after he called 911 shortly after the shooting. The man said he had shot someone who approached his vehicle during the demonstration and pointed a weapon at him.

The victim of the shooting was Garrett Foster, 28, and he died of multiple gunshot wounds.

“We are heartbroken over the loss of Mr. Foster last night,” Manley said in a Zoom news conference Sunday night posted on Twitter. “It’s actively being investigated and ongoing in conjunction with the Travis County District Attorney’s Office.”

    Fox News

“Heartbroken over the loss of Mr. Foster” really?” Yeah, me too. I’ll get over it, though. Heh, already have.

    1. The dead guy is on video admitting to harassing people that could not or would not fight back. I’ll bet that the video is a big reason the shooter got set free. Pointed his scary rifle at the wrong person.

    2. If by “heartbroken” you mean “I don’t give a fuck about the recently-deceased asshole,” then yes, I’m heartbroken.

    3. “Heartbroken over the loss of Mr. Foster” really?”

Heh. My first thought, too. I hope Mr. Manley kept the sarcasm out of his voice when he said that, else there could be more mostly peaceful protests about his disrespect to another martyr.

  13. Guy joined at 17, discharged at 19 to take care of his quadruple amputee girlfriend. They’ve been together for over a decade.

Somewhere, in the deep recesses of my mind, and I have to apologize NOW because I feel terrible about it, I hear the old ‘My Girls a Vegetable’ cadence. Maybe THAT is why he got discharged….he thought they were singling him out every time at PT.

“Shes got no arms or legs….all she has is hooks and pegs…”

    1. I have resisting the jokes all day.
Out of respect for this page, but on other platforms its ON.

      Sincerely Nightcrawler

    2. We had a guy in our Company who’s wife was in a wheelchair. We couldn’t use that cadence when he was in formation.

One particular day, Hack Stone had Duty NCO. He walks into the Barracks Lounge, and there is Sgt F. sitting on the couch watching television.

Duty NCO Hack Stone: Sgt F., what are you doing here? Don’t you live in Base Housing?

Sgt F.: Yeah, but I hit my wife, so I have to be in the barracks.

Duty NCO Hack Stone: Isn’t she in a wheelchair?

      Sgt F.: Yes.

Duty NCO Hack Stone: Why didn’t you just go upstairs, it’s not as if she could follow you.

      True story.

  14. Would like to see the toxicology report.

Wonder if the motorist had to give a sample as well.

    1. Toxicology report finds no trace of testosterone, but he did have elevated levels of estrogen.

          1. I wonder if the DNA will be traced by to the False Commander “Phony” Phil Monkress (CEO of All-Points Logistics)?

  15. Damn shame that out of all of the pussies that he could have confronted, he picked the one that was packing.

    1. Sometimes, a person’s purpose in life is to be the bad example that enlightens another.

      1. I’ve used that axiom numerous times: “Some people’s sole purpose in life is to serve as a warning to others.”

  16. The fucked upper is that he was his girlfriend’s ride home. She’s probably still out there.

  17. Garrett finally made something of himself….worm feed!
    Better Dead Than Red

  18. So, what I’ve heard, since I live in Austin, at least until next Tuesday, is that the puke pointed his rifle at the driver. The dead guy was in the Air Force. I’ve heard that the shooter was also a Veteran and also worked for Uber.
I’m not certain those are true, but the scuttlebutt is as I said.
Either way, there were five shots before he got his window down and fired three shots.
The shooter was obviously a good shot as the stories I’ve heard was that he dropped to the ground like a 200# sack of dogshit and there were no errant rounds from his 9mm.
All in all, it was a good shoot as the cops said, if he had a passenger in his car, having a rifle pointed at him was a justifiable homicide for self defense purposes.
He did everything right from what I can surmise.
    I love it….
    “Bunch of pussies, ‘eh ?????”
Remember, carry, these days don’t even think about leaving the house without a firearm or other self defense weapon.
And, get some sort of shooter insurance, I swear by Texas Law Shield. I used to work for them, but, even after leaving, I kept the program !!!

  19. Its possible that when he was hit, he went down squeezing the trigger (muscle spasm / reflex). That would produce casings matching the rifle shots. Maybe on rifle shot first on realizing he screwed up, two pistol shots followed by his finger squeezing the trigger on the way down.

Hope the cops found them before the rioters hid them or they got “lost in the sauce”.

  20. Insurgent killed by armed citizen.

    There…FIFY

Behold my field of fucks is barren and I have none to give for this ex-insurgent.

  21. Do you know what Garrett Foster’s last words were?

“Is that pussy holding a Glock?”

  22. Attention all Ninjas:

Motorist who defended himself has been identified as Daniel Perry, an Active Army Infantry Sergeant who I think is assigned to the 3d ACR.
