Since this man doesn’t want to leave Portland because it’s his “hometown, born and raised there”, etc., my only comment is that while I understand his point of view, I would like to know what he plans to do when the city of Portland is completely sacked and burned.
No one was left alive except for the Trojan escapees when the Greeks sacked and burned Troy. If you Include the previous attacks, this was supposedly seventh time it was attacked, and it was done in, burned to rubble, disappearing into legend and history.
