‘China’s Newest Carrier’

Aviators in a small training detachment aboard USS Gerald R. Ford were recently counseled by leadership after wearing an unauthorized and inappropriate patch, the Navy said.

Half of the patch, according to a photo on Twitter, included the aircraft carrier’s logo with the words “America’s Newest Carrier” and “Integrity at the Helm.” The other half, however, depicted an image of a bat with the words “China’s Newest Carrier,” a reference to one theory about the origins of the novel coronavirus.

  1. Bwwaaahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha gasp gasp hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha stop y’all killing me hahahahahahahahahahahaha

Where as some of our Naval Aviators like to fly upside down, the ChiCom Aviators like to hang up side down. hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha

The newest ChiCom Carrier prolly did more damage than that ski jump POS they got now, and can prolly “see” targets in the dark better. Can also serve as a “mosquito fleet.”

Did higher “beach’ our Aviators with their volley of reprimands? Is their goose cooked? Somebody in clothing sales go all maverick making that patch? There’s no loving feeling for the patch?

    Mick…you’re up! hahahahahahahahahahahahahaha!!!

    1. Oh FFS.

Here we go again with the shrill, faux outrage from senior Navy “leadership” over what amounts to a very, very benign “morale patch”. Enough is enough already.

Good thing that current Navy leadership isn’t slapping eyes on any of the “morale patches” that were commonplace in Navy and Marine Corps squadrons prior to Tailhook ’91. If they did, their little politically correct snowflake brains would rip themselves in half. AW1Ed, AW1 Rod, Atkron, and others here at TAH who served out in the Fleet in Navy and Marine Corps Aviation at that time can attest.

By the way, over at the American Military News article linked above, there’s also an embedded link to an article about this incident at the Virginian-Pilot website, where this little gem of a quoted Twitter post from a “woke” busy-body SJW citizen can be found:

“Hey @USNavy, this doesn’t seem to align w @USNavyCNO’s recent words against racism … dumbass JOs. pic.twitter.com/t93nUxfedm
      — Lady McMuffin (@McmuffinLady) June 23, 2020”

So now referring to the fact that the COVID-19 virus originated in China is somehow “racist”? Is it also “racist” to state the fact that the current Saharan dust clouds that are affecting the SE United States originated in Africa?

      WTF?

The mind staggers at these stunning overt displays of SJW imbecility.

  2. “We train young men to drop fire on people, but their commanders won’t allow them to write ‘f*ck’ on their airplane because it’s obscene!” –COL Kurtz

  3. The patch is accurate. I’m failing to see the problem. Therefore I’m assuming this to be another case of “You there! Stop having fun at once!” which makes it perfectly appropriate for the “The Floggings Will Continue Until Morale Improves” category.

  4. I remember seeing B-52 bombers LONG ago with the slogan “Peace Is Our Profession-War Is Just Our Hobby”.

They had to nix that as well.

    1. My dad’s B-17 unit patch had “death and destruction” on it.
He dropped lot’s of it. Tons and tons. Thanks dad. We owe you.

      1. Isn’t that skunk the little guy named “Flower” from the Disney movie “Bambi”?

        1. Nah, “Flower” was a black & white skunk while the one on the patch is blue & white.

Maybe a distant relative from an parallel universe?? (smile)

    2. When I was a wee lad, March AFB used to string Christmas lights off a static display missile to make a tree. Deliciously politically incorrect.

      1. I gotta tell ya SFC D, never would I have believed that I would ever see or hear a Sargent First Class in this U.S. of A’s army use the word “deliciously”. (LMAO)

(retired as a SFC my ownself)
        Have a great one, brother.

  5. Can somebody PLEASE find something worthwhile for the idjits complaining about this to do? No?? Well, then, if they have time for this kind of silliness, perhaps they need to be reassigned, to civilian life.

    1. Well, I have some things they could do, OWB, but they wouldn’t like it. It would be too much like real work… and no pay for it, either. Just my best wishes. 🙂

  6. It’s obvious to me that the so-called “leadership” is chock-full of B. Hussein 0bama-woeshipping PC rubbernecks!!!

  7. How is this offensive? I don’t see how it’s offensive to the Chinese, so they must be worried about how the bats will take it.
