Shamar Thomas: Adam Kokesh’s heir apparent.

It seems our newest military street performer has hit facebook and doing his best follow the road taken by Adam Kokesh when he did fake patrols to protest the Iraq war.

So in addition to the video that I talked he has been busy being a perfect photo prompt with Micheal Moore and Keith O’brien. Yep quite the busy guy.

Also just like Kokesh, Thomas is admin according to Marine Online. Listed as 3051 which is listed as a Warehouse Clerk. Unlike Kokesh he has yet to be arrested, not for a lack of trying.

Theatricals, that is all it is. Only with the next guy in line.

My name is Warren Andrews, and I am 40 years old. I live with my wife Christine and my 11 year old son. I have been in the Army for over 13 years and had one deployment to Iraq from May 2008 to June 2009.

My hobbies are, blogging, history, politics, table top gaming and computer games.

  1. To make it appear that you have military substance. Pure puffery. Civies don’t know what they are. Makes you look cool? Attracts other queers, maybe? The first three for sure. Last one is a guess.

  2. I’m sorry any SM that ends up on Olberman willingly is a strait up S-H-I-T-B-A-G!!! That guy is so anti-constitution it’s not even funny.

Also “police brutality”? Has anyone been killed? Has anyone suffered any lasting ill-health? Since when is police saying “do not go beyond this like or we’ll arrest you” and doing EXACTLY that brutality?

  3. Edit to last–apparently no longer on active duty. But the last link Spork gives to the author claiming he can wear his uniform any way he likes? Maybe legally, but no self-respecting Marine would ever dishonor his uniform or the Corps the way he did.

Oh, and asshat–Smedley Butler is NOT the greatest Marine of all time. Just because he wrote a blathering pamphlet you happen to take out of context doesn’t make him great. You might want to reconsider that honor for Marines like Lejune, Puller, et al.

  4. I agree with Sparky, although, having grown up in a Marine family, I would have to say the top three for greatest Marine would have to be John W. Ripley, Dan Daly, Chesty, or ‘Manila’ John Basilone

  5. Guys–I’ll be willing to grant that his awards/bona fides are in fact legit. He may not have been a trigger-puller, but he was in fact in the sandbox, which is fine.

HOWEVER, that does not excuse him from doing what he’s doing now–and if he is in fact in some sort of reserve status or in IRR, he’s still subject to the UCMJ, and should be dealt with accordingly. The fact is that the “no uniforms” rule at these kinds of functions is there for a reason.

Gullible civilians are thinking this guy speaks for Marines. You and I know better. He speaks for himself, and perhaps a few other disgruntled guys–certainly not the entire Corps, not a majority, not even a significant number. But try telling that to Joe Six-Pack seeing this shit splattered on the networks. Even Olbertards.

  6. Lol, thanks Sparky, I realize I was screwed from the minute I was born, but I can speak Neanderthal because of it, and my GF does the counting for me when I am in that state….. Gotta admit though, the Army has gotten away from the immersion into the Warrior culture that the Marines have embraced, if only we could venerate more than just Generals, and bring the spirit of our forefathers in previous generations into BCT…

  7. Chesty and Basilone works for me. I can’t believe nobody’s made a movie about either one of them.

  8. Shouldn’t the balls count for two. At least the sack should count for 1. I was army and its pretty clear to me. Lol

  9. Concur Lucky. I suggested a couple of years ago that basic be extended to 12 weeks and that bayonet drill be preserved and for heaven sakes, train with kettlebells from day one. I think log and rifle drill should be returned, also.

  10. Hate to tell Shamar, but even if he has a CAR; when you act like a shitbird then you’re a shitbird.

    NHSparky;
Not all Marines can count to 21. Our split-tails can only get to 20.

  11. Old Soldier, I agree, in 2003, as a PVT that Bayonet Drill had one seriously profound impact on me. I train daily with kettle bells, and that would be amazing PT for recruits, and having done boot and ute runs, log drills and rifle runs all over Gruber and Ardennes and Smoke Bomb Hill for AIT, and the Matta Mile, I have very fond memories, accept for that last little bit of the Matta Mile, the one right after the fence line as you are going into the woods…. I rolled my ankle there EVERY fraking time!!!!

  12. @ Lucky, what was Audie Murphy Chopped liver? Hell we DO venerate warriors, Rangers anyway. Still most of them are faceless to us so if anybody comes along wearing a scroll on the right side he is automatically a BAD motherfucker.

  13. @13: See “the Pacific”

OS: What should be included could fill volumes. If you wanted to train a private to fight in every possible situation then the train of an infantryman alone would take nearly 6 months. It would be similar to Robert Heinland’s “Starship Troopers” in that they’d be trained to kill and would have to actually “think” about using non-lethal combatives. Train with everything from Nukes to sharp sticks, drop them off in the middle of nowhere and make them walk back. Yeah you’d NEVER get away with that but that’s what we need.

  14. Yep, Starship Troopers is my pie-in-the-sky paradigm.

We need that citizenship model, too. Too many “citizens” here in America who haven’t got a blessed clue.

  15. Ok, so this guy is bitching because the protesters didn’t follow lawful orders and were pepper sprayed for their trouble? Running around continually babbling that the protesters are unarmed doesn’t mean shit, since no one was shot or juiced with a taser. If they follow the rules, there is no problem. When they break the rules they get pepper spray and eat pavement. It’s simple enough for even him to figure out.

  16. I’m just waiting for Obamagirl to show up and the fun to begin….must be too early for her, I’ll check back at noon..

  17. Doc and Old Soldier, they don’t teach much about Audie Murphy these days, they really need to! And Heinlein’s model for government would truly be ideal!

  18. As I sat in the Chapel at Camp Rudder, Fl with active duty Rangers this past sunday, I was the only adult male there who hadn’t had a deployment or two or three. It is too bad that the public, the gummint, can’t see that we still have heroes; even if they are not “Audie Murphy” types. I would enjoy having any one of these RI’s at my back through anything.

  19. @12 What would you know about the warrior culture Lucky? You’re in snivel affairs, you probably wouldn’t last a day in an Infantry unit.

4 POGs talking about how the Infantry should train it’s Soldiers, maybe if you guys had the stones you would have signed up and found out first hand instead, you decided to be a bunch of Internet Commandos telling your pog war stories what a frigging disgrace.

A CA guy a Sub Guy and 2 Hospital medics want to say the Army is soft well thats what happens when you seek out the soft life it can get pretty hard if you want it to, obviously none of you wanted that.

  20. @24 and Old Trooper talking shit about a decorated combat veteran. Maybe you should walk a mile in his shoes before you start running your mouth. What was your most dangerous deployment NTC? Those Krasnovians are killers!!

  21. “But the last link Spork gives to the author claiming he can wear his uniform any way he likes? Maybe legally, but no self-respecting Marine would ever dishonor his uniform or the Corps the way he did.”

This is actually not true. There are still rules that apply to the wearing of the uniform by guys who are out.

  22. @FO, well, the thing is that the Marine Corps venerates people such as SSGT Basilone and SGM Daly, and SGM Kasal as part of their indoctrination, the Army really doesn’t do that. In my IET Smart book, there are only a couple of Soldiers that TRADOC wanted us to read about, but we were never quizzed about them in the entire 9 weeks. Yes, there are heroes serving today, but not enough is done to venerate them or to indoctrinate new Soldiers into the ways of the Warrior.

  23. Check out the facebook link and click on the photos. Some of the comments are hilarious, wonder how long before they are deleted or disabled.

  24. Heroes (the real ones) are humble. Oh and the ICM SHOULD have a CS on it.

Richter, I’ve worked in the hospital but I’m a line dog at heart and got the bonafides to prove it. speaking of which have you ever thrown out YOUR bonafides?

  25. The real problem that SGT Neckrolls created is that he showed up in a military uniform during civil unrest without any authority to do so. What he did was dangerous and may have been a crime under Section 238-c of the Military Law of New York State:

§ 238-c. Wearing of uniforms; prohibited. a. It shall be unlawful for any person to appear in any public place or in the public view attired in any uniform similar to that worn by the military, semi-military, naval, police, storm troop or other official or semi-official forces of any foreign state, nation or government, or attired in any distinctive
part or parts of such a uniform, or to assemble with other persons similarly attired in any camp, drill ground or other place for the purpose of engaging in military drill or training or other military practices.

    f. This section shall not apply to the officers or members of the military, semi-military, naval, police or other official or semi-official forces of any foreign state, nation or government lawfully within the state of New York, the Knights of Columbus, the Boy Scouts of America, any student of any school or academy recognized by the board of regents of the state of New York, nor to the members of the cast of any stage or motion picture production characterizing the officials of a foreign state, nation or government; provided, however, that in any prosecution hereunder it shall be presumed that a person wearing the uniform of a foreign state, nation or government or of any of its official or semi-official forces or attired in any distinctive part or parts of such a uniform, was not at the time of the alleged violation of this section a member of any of the organizations excepted herein.

Was SGT Neckrolls there on behalf of the military, the Boys Scouts or the Knights of Columbus?

  26. Ah, sphincter, you rascal. How ya doin? I haven’t heard shit from you since you declined to nut up back in August. What the fuck would you know about anything you pussy. You talk all sorts of tough on here, but as usual, when it’s time to get down to brass tacks, you get the dress out (no offense to our female readers since I know most of you are tougher than sphincter). You made every excuse in the book as to why you wouldn’t show, but now you’re back to talk more shit. Bring it, pussy.

  27. What the fuck would you know about nutting up you fucking glorified maintenance man.

And Lucky shut the fuck up. Audie Murphy didnt need to be indoctrinated in the “culture of the warrior” by being quizzed on Alvin York. Just shut your fucking mouth, you’re just a PR man in ACUs, you are not a warrior by any meaning of the word.

  28. I love all of that 11B trash talk. I wear two badges on my ACUs; my CIB and my dolphins. Sub qualification was one of the most mentally arduous programs that I have been through. Even after all of the infantry stuff that I did, the two most terrifying events in my military career were hearing a collision alarm and knowing that it wasn’t a drill and having “fire machinery 1 lower level” called over the 1MC in a 640 class boat and again knowing that it wasn’t a drill. Come and talk to me after you finish A school, C school, sub school, and your qual card.

  29. @41 Sorry I couldn’t make it Old Trooper but the fucking judge decided to throw me in jail, my excuse of well I have to meet some old piece of shit pog in Minnesota the next day didn’t really fly. I told you I had court so eat a dick, you eat everything else.

But truth be told Old Trooper you’re really not worth my time if you were some aviation clerk who never deployed I am not going to Minnesota to find that out. As I see it since I started posting here you have toned down your tough guy talk because you knew I was watching.

  30. @43 Keyword mentally, you were probably an 11B washout anyway no self respecting grunt would go to submarines, what happened? You couldn’t hack it on the line? Was it to cold in the winter in the field? Was your ruck to heavy? Fucking pussy.

  31. King, if you actually read shit, you would see I was talking about Basc Trainees needing to be indoctrinated into the Warrior Culture in my Army by learning about SGT Murphy and SGT York, BTW King, pony up your ERB before you start talking smack Boyo, you are the only one aside from your Lesbian Cow friend that hasn’t done so as of yet….

  32. King, talk to me BTW, when you can match me as a man, I earned my CAB and Combat Vet status before I was old enough to drink legally in the United States, and am a Veteran of both Iraq AND Afghanistan, what have YOU done with YOUR excuse for a life?

  33. Sorry brah I’m not interested in talking to some homo who left the infantry to go polish the commander’s periscope on a sub.

  34. We established this numbnuts, I am a CA Soldier, hell, I probably did more Infantry shit in my first tour than you EVER did in your entire career, that is to say, if you actually served…… Which I say, PROVE IT, show your ERB or 214, hell, even a 1059 from PLDC or BNCOC, come on, be a man, PROVE YOUR BONA FIDES!

  35. Too much the coward to show in person in Minnesota, but comes on here like a little sissy, running his mouth, knowing that we are merely using his dumb assed comments for humor; not a lot of intelligence in that. Then cross commenting as someone else, (King), to “throw us off”. din’t work, dummy.
