After i retired from the Army (1999) I worked for the Veterans Benefit Adminstration which is the ‘benefits’ wing of the US department of Veterans Affairs. I was a GS 11 Military Documents Specialist. Actually I was the only military documents specialist in the whole VA system for about a year until they developed a job description and posted a posted in every regional office world wide(Yes, there are regional offices outside of the US)
My primary work was verifying vet’s participation in combat, exposure to cold weather injuries, radiological and chemical exposure (Agent Orange mainly)and confirming ‘stressor’ events for PTSD claims. But I was also farmed out to the VA’s Office of the Inspector General, Criminal Investigation Division to assist with fraudulent claims.
The guy that forged this DD Form 214 needs to be hunted down and prosecuted. People like him are bilking millions of dollars out of the VA system every year. Money desperately needed to help the legitimate vets.
I don’t believe that I have the proper clearance level to be reading this . It must say ‘Classified” about 15 times … My clearance is only good for a max of 10 times.

acquaintance ex-military squid who says his DD214 is
so classified and redacted he can’t even sign up for
VA Benefits. I told him he was full of $h1t. He has
not shown his DD214, of course. I was an Army Ranger
as a LRRP with the 101st, Nam 1965-67, and was on many top secret missions but although those missions
are not required on DD214 my total military service
is. Just like Stolen Valor, this idiot is a disgrace
to the human race and to those who served. Frag time?
