Man shoots relative in self-defense; man shot faces burglary charges<\/strong><\/p>\n

\nPolice say a Dothan man shot twice Monday by a family member is now in jail on burglary charges.<\/p>\n

Justin Tyler Bland, 31, of Dothan, was arrested Monday, and charged with first-degree burglary.<\/p>\n

According to Dothan Police Lt. Scott Owens, Bland and a relative were involved in a verbal altercation that turned physical. During the physical altercation, Bland unlawfully entered the family member\u2019s residence where he had previously been band from entering.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Carbon County considering self-defense claims after Billings man shot dead near trailhead<\/strong><\/p>\n

\nCarbon County officials are reviewing self-defense claims in the fatal shooting near a trailhead south of Red Lodge in April. <\/p>\n

Chad Rockman, 43, of Billings, died from a single gunshot to the chest, according to Carbon County Attorney Alex Nixon.<\/p>\n

The April 8 shooting took place at roughly 10 a.m. on Lake Fork Road, off Highway 212.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s fair to say it\u2019s being assessed as a possible self-defense, justifiable use of force case,\u201d Nixon said.<\/p>\n

Rockman, who was with one other person, was working with a couple to try to free a car stuck in a snowbank immediately before the shooting took place, Nixon said.<\/p>\n

Nixon said he didn\u2019t think the two pairs of people were previously acquainted. The couple resides in Carbon County, outside Red Lodge, Nixon said.<\/p>\n

Nixon said he was aware of just the one gun that was used to kill Rockman, and no other weapons were recovered from the scene.<\/p>\n

The case is still under investigation. No charges have been filed, and no arrests have been made.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

6 arrested in fatal home invasion robbery in Utah<\/strong><\/p>\n

\nVINEYARD \u2014 An attempted home invasion robbery in Vineyard resulted in one of the would-be robbers being shot and killed by the resident and at least six others arrested, according to police.<\/p>\n

About 6:20 p.m. Tuesday, police were called to the Concord at Geneva apartments, 125 N. Mill Road. The Utah County Sheriff\u2019s Office said Tuesday that one man had been shot to death during a home invasion robbery.<\/p>\n

Four homeless people have been arrested for investigation of robbery: Baboucarr Trawally, 27; Diego Fuentez, 18; Gabriel Little Hawk Trane, 21; and Sarh Sone Jabbah, 18. A total of four males and two females were taken into custody, according to a police affidavit.<\/p>\n

Sheriff’s Sgt. Spencer Cannon confirmed Wednesday that two juveniles were also taken into custody and booked into the Slate Canyon Detention Center. One was arrested for investigation of robbery, and the other had a warrant for being a runaway, he said.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
