Michigan’s Governor, Gretchen Whitmer (D), who is vying to be former VP Biden’s running mate, has a heavy handed approach to closing down the state. Her illogical and draconian measures- banning travel to property, forbidding fishing from power boats (fine from canoes or kayaks), banning the sales of gardening tools, seeds, baby car seats, the list goes on. People are upset and have had enough.<\/p>\n
So they exercised their Constitutionally protected rights, and engaged in the right to assemble, freedom of speech, and the right to keep and bear arms. At the Michigan Statehouse. This did not sit well at all with the Governor.<\/p>\n

Some chanted “Let us in,” The Detroit News reported.<\/p>\n State Sen. Dayna Polehanki, a Democrat, tweeted a photo of what she described as armed demonstrators yelling above her. She said some of her colleagues were wearing “bullet proof vests” inside the House chamber.<\/p>\n “Directly above me, men with rifles yelling at us. Some of my colleagues who own bullet proof vests are wearing them. I have never appreciated our Sergeants-at-Arms more than today. #mileg,” she posted.<\/p>\n Thursday’s rally came as some people living in Michigan have continued to demand Whitmer roll back her stay-at-home order in an effort to reopen the state’s economy and allow residents to resume daily activities.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n Thing is, she has no legal standing to command any of these edicts. Gretchen Whitmer about her lockdown order.<\/p>\n Ed Frederick, 45, spent an hour charting out the flightpath to give his simple message to Whitmer over her handling of the coronavirus, with an arrow pointing directly at the governor\u2019s mansion, according to Flightaware.<\/p>\n Frederick said he was inspired to take a trip in his propeller plane Friday morning after Whitmer announced she would be extending the state\u2019s stay-at-home order through May 28.<\/p>\n \u201cIt\u2019s a power trip,\u201d Frederick told the New York Post. \u201cThe government, no matter Democrats or Republicans, always seem like they\u2019re trying to do something just to prove they\u2019re doing something, without weighing the ramifications.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n Heh.
