Canada has no Second Amendment protection for its citizens. Like a good little tyrant, Liberal Globalist Trudeau has decreed an Assault Weapons Ban throughout Canada. The ban includes forced surrender of about 250,000 hunting and sporting rifles in all. There is a two year compliance grace period; after that the potential of a prison term, duration unspecified. Apparently there is a buy-back possibility in the works, but once again, how does a government “buy back” anything? It’s confiscation with tax dollars.<\/p>\n

Canadian PM Announces Immediate Ban of 1,500 Different Firearms<\/h3>\n

Canadian PM Justin Trudeau announced a ban on 1,500 different firearms on Friday, effective immediately.<\/p>\n

CBS News reports that the new list of prohibited firearms centers on \u201cassault-style\u201d guns. Trudeau said, \u201cThese weapons were designed for one purpose and one purpose only: to kill the largest number of people in the shortest amount of time. There is no use and no place for such weapons in Canada.\u201d<\/p>\n

The ban contains an amnesty period, allowing current owners of the firearms up to two years to comply.<\/p>\n

Public Safety Minister Bill Blair commented on the ban, saying, \u201cAs of today, the market for assault weapons in Canada is closed,\u201d Public Safety Minister Bill Blair said. \u201cEnough is enough. Banning these firearms will save Canadian lives.\u201d<\/p>\n

On April 30, Breitbart News reported that the ban would target AR-15s, the Ruger Mini-14 rifle, and other similar firearms. The Mini-14 was included in the ban because it was used in a 1989 attack on \u00c9cole Polytechnique.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
