Homeowner shoots at would-be burglars<\/strong><\/p>\n

\nTwo men escaped injury after a homeowner shot at them during a break-in.<\/p>\n

On April 24, Cherokee County Sheriff’s Deputy James Carver and Sheriff Jason Chennault were dispatched to the Pumpkin Hollow area for a burglary in progress.<\/p>\n

The caller said two men tried entering his home by breaking a window. The man said the intruders broke into the back door of the residence.<\/p>\n

The homeowner was armed with a shotgun and confronted the suspects. The homeowner fired the gun at the men and they fled.<\/p>\n

“Upon arrival at the scene, Deputy Carver and Sheriff Chennault located the suspects’ vehicle parked in the yard of the residence. The vehicle was loaded with items that had been stolen from outbuildings on the property,” the CCSO report said. “Deputy Carver and Sheriff Chennault found a foot trail in the wet grass leading away from the residence. Deputy Austin Cluck and his K-9 partner, Lucas, were called to the scene; Lucas was able to track the suspects’ trail to a dirt road, where it appeared the suspects met a vehicle.”<\/p>\n

Chennault, along with deputies, searched the Pumpkin Hollow area and found one of the men who matched the homeowner’s description.<\/p>\n

James Levesque admitted he had a role in the burglary, and the vehicle found at the scene was registered to him.<\/p>\n

Carver determined the other man involved in the crime was Chase Baker.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

LPD: SUSPECT SHOT IN LEG BY VICTIM\u2019S SON<\/strong><\/p>\n

\nLEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ)- Lexington Police say the son of a woman shot a man they say was strangling the woman early Friday morning.<\/p>\n

Police say they were called to Dedman Lane around 1 a.m. They say the suspect was gone from the area, after being shot in the leg by the victim\u2019s son. The suspect was later found on Leestown Road.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Burglar shot dead when discovered by armed homeowner<\/strong><\/p>\n

DALLAS \u2013 A burglar ended up dead after trying to rob a homeowner ready to defend his property.<\/p>\n

Police were called to the 2900-block of Villa Sur Trail on the Northeast Side of Dallas just after 11 p.m. Friday. Police tell us the homeowner came outside and discovered a burglar breaking into his shed. He drew his weapon and shot the burglar.<\/p>\n

The injured burglar then stumbled to his own car and tried to drive away but crashed into another parked vehicle. He was pronounced dead at the scene.<\/p>\n

Police haven\u2019t said if the burglar had managed to actually take anything from the shed.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
