\nA 17-year-old male was shot in the chest Saturday night during a dispute over a blocked intersection near Lacey, according to the Thurston County Sheriff\u2019s Office.<\/p>\n

The 17-year-old was in stable condition at Providence St. Peter Hospital in Olympia and is expected to survive, Lt. Ray Brady said Sunday.<\/p>\n

About 9 p.m. Saturday, a 38-year-old man headed off to work, driving east on Third Way Southeast. Once he got to Dutterow Road Southeast, he pulled up behind a vehicle that was stopped at Third Way and Dutterow.<\/p>\n

Those in the stopped vehicle, including the 17-year-old male, told the man to drive around them, but the 38-year-old man was uncomfortable driving into oncoming traffic, Brady said.<\/p>\n

It was not immediately clear why the vehicle had stopped in the intersection, Brady said.<\/p>\n

The parties began arguing, and the 17-year-old, plus at least two other people, approached the 38-year-old man\u2019s vehicle and began acting aggressively toward him, Brady said.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Sacramento County homeowner shoots suspect who led officers on chase<\/strong><\/p>\n

A suspect who led law enforcement on a vehicle chase from Rocklin to Sacramento County on Monday was shot by a bystander after getting out of the vehicle and running from the scene, the Sacramento County Sheriff\u2019s Office said.<\/p>\n

The suspect was taken to the hospital for treatment with non-life-threatening injuries, the sheriff\u2019s office said.<\/p>\n

The suspect was wanted in connection with attempting to rob Rocklin businesses over the weekend, Rocklin police said. The suspect smashed his car into a nail salon and a cell phone store on Commons Drive. Investigators said they did not find any items missing, so far.<\/p>\n

On Monday, an officer in an unmarked Rocklin police car saw the suspect vehicle around 6:15 p.m. near Eureka Road and Interstate 80. A patrol unit responded to the scene and tried to pull over the suspect.<\/p>\n

However, the suspect drove away, leading officers on a chase, police said.<\/p>\n

The California Highway Patrol took over the chase, which entered Sacramento County.<\/p>\n

The Sacramento County Sheriff\u2019s Office said deputies then got involved, saying the suspect was seen, at one point, going westbound in the eastbound lanes of I-80 near Watt Avenue.<\/p>\n

The chase eventually ended in the Foothill Farms area of Sacramento County when the suspect got out of the car and ran.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Columbia man charged with shooting into house<\/strong><\/p>\n

\nA 38-year-old man faces numerous felony charges after allegedly shooting at a residence with people inside late Friday and trying to flee from police.<\/p>\n

Boone County prosecutors on Saturday charged Donald Eugene Hammers with first-degree domestic assault, armed criminal action, three counts of felony child endangerment and resisting arrest.<\/p>\n

In an affidavit supporting charges against Hammers, Columbia police officer Joshua Popielarz wrote the incident happened about 11:15 p.m. Friday in the 5400 block of Baseline Place.<\/p>\n

The victim told police Hammers knocked on the door and wanted to fight. She had a gun and he left, but fired several shots at her residence from the street. Three children were inside at the time. The victim fired back and then called 911.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
