During the current 2019 Wuhan Coronavirus pandemic, it\u2019s common sense to try and stay away from people who are coughing or sneezing. You also need to keep your hands scrupulously clean. <\/p>\n

But perhaps being around people coughing and\/or sneezing aren’t the only situations you should avoid.<\/p>\n

Get a load of this:<\/p>\n

The deadly coronavirus bug could be spreading across the globe through farts, according to doctors.<\/p>\n

Tests carried out earlier this year have shown that the virus was present in the faeces of more than half of patients with Covid-19.<\/p>\n

And doctors have previously warned farts contain tiny poo particles that can spread bacteria.<\/p>\n

They said more research needed to be done to rule out passing the disease on to people through omitting (sic) bodily gasses.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Seriously? Yes, seriously<\/i><\/a>. But I wouldn\u2019t be terribly alarmed.<\/p>\n

First: pants apparently are a fairly effective barrier to the particles potentially carrying the virus. And second, according to the article apparently someone else is only at risk \u201cif they took a close sniff at the gas\u201d.<\/p>\n

Predictably, those raising the alarm here say that “more research” is needed to determine the magnitude of the threat. Anyone surprised?<\/p>\n

This really isn\u2019t much to worry about IMO. If someone “cuts the cheese”, as long as they’re dressed normally and you’re not within a few centimeters of their flatus vent you’re probably OK.<\/p>\n

But if you see someone wandering around without any pants and exhibiting \u201cnonstop excessive flatulence\u201d, well, maybe you should go elsewhere. I\u2019m kinda guessing most people would do that anyway without being told it’s a good idea.<\/p>\n

And whatever you do, make sure you\u2019re a \u201csmart feller\u201d and not a . . . well, never mind. (smile)<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
