If there isn&#8217;t a special place for these people, there should be.<\/p>\n<h3>Arizona Hospital Aide Steals Coronavirus Protective Equipment Supplies Worth $1,700, Police Say<\/h3>\n<p><strong>By Stephen Sorace<\/strong><\/p>\n<blockquote><p>A hospital housekeeping employee in Arizona was arrested and subsequently fired after police say he admitted to stealing personal protective equipment and cleaning supplies amid the coronavirus outbreak.<\/p>\n<p>Keith Brown, 49, was arrested at Yavapai Regional Medical Center in Prescott after hospital officials reported a suspected theft, police Lt. Jon Brambila said.<\/p>\n<p>Officers found $1,700 worth of gear and supplies inside Brown&#8217;s car and home, including gloves, hand sanitizer, surgical scrubs, washcloths, paper towels, masks, bleach cleaner, toilet paper and an automatic hand sanitizer, Brambila said.<\/p>\n<p>Many of the items have been in short supply during the COVID-19 outbreak as health workers race to treat a surging number of patients.<\/p>\n<p>Police were working to return the stolen equipment and supplies to the hospital, the department said.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/us\/arizona-hospital-aide-steals-coronavirus-protective-equipment\">Fox News Link<\/a><\/p>\n<h3>New Orleans convention center official arrested after masks stolen from makeshift coronavirus hospital, police say<\/h3>\n<p>By: Travis Fedschun<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>The public safety director at the New Orleans convention center that is being transformed into a makeshift hospital for coronavirus patients was arrested Friday for allegedly stealing dozens of masks meant for medical workers, according to officials.<\/p>\n<p>The Louisiana State Police said Vernon Giscombe, 58, was arrested Friday after an officer with the state Department of Public Safety noticed a woman carrying boxes to a car outside the Morial Convention Center.<\/p>\n<p>After growing suspicious, the officer and two LSP troopers stopped the vehicle and discovered two boxes of N95 masks inside. The masks are a vital piece of safety gear that many health care professionals have lacked due to supply shortages during the COVID-19 outbreak.<\/p>\n<p>Giscombe &#8212; who was driving the car &#8212; confessed that he took two other boxes of masks earlier in the day, the LSP told FOX8.<\/p>\n<p>He was arrested on suspicion of theft and malfeasance in office, according to FOX8.
