Apparently the PRC may be having significantly worse – and more recent – problems with the 2019 Wuhan Coronavirus than they’ve admitted to date. And the initial outbreak may well also have been far worse than the PRC has acknowledged.<\/p>\n
Reportedly, Jia county in Henan province (also in the central PRC, but a different province than Hubei province in which the virus outbreak apparently originated) was reportedly placed on near-total lockdown last Tuesday<\/i><\/a> due to an outbreak of the virus. <\/p>\n Meanwhile, the PRC officially reported a grand total of 36 new cases of the virus last Wednesday<\/i> \u2013 with all but one of them being characterized as \u201cimported cases\u201d.<\/p>\n Additionally, even the WaPo is now reporting that the actual death toll in Hubei province alone may be around 40,000 \u2013 which is about 16x higher than the total the PRC has reported for the entire country to date<\/i>. (Viewing the WaPo article requires unblocking ads, but the pertinent portion of the WaPo article is excerpted here<\/i><\/a>.<\/p>\n Looks to me like the PRC has been \u201cstonewalling\u201d things concerning the virus at least about 1 January \u2013 when authorities in Hubei province ordered viral samples destroyed, testing stopped, implemented a clampdown on news associated with the Wuhan coronavirus outbreak, and started persecuting medical personnel for making public statements or engaging in public discussion concerning the situation<\/i><\/a>. And it would have been great to know the actual severity of the outbreak 3+ months ago – as well as the fact that the disease readily spread from person-to-person, which the PRC officially denied for weeks after Chinese medical authorities knew otherwise \u2013 because that damn well would have changed many of the actions the US and the rest of the world took since 1 January.<\/p>\n If the above is true, it also looks like the PRC may have a lot of blood on its hands \u2013 worldwide.
