Juvenile shot during Arlington business break-in<\/strong><\/p>\n By: Matt Small Police said they were called for a report of trouble in the 2400 block of Shirlington Road in Arlington\u2019s Green Valley neighborhood, 4:53 a.m. Sunday.<\/p>\n Police did not identify the business.<\/p>\n Three suspects, all juveniles, were stealing cash and merchandise, according to police.<\/p>\n An employee, who was inside a secure backroom of the business at the time, got a gun and opened fired on the suspects, striking one, police said. The juvenile sustained serious, but not life-threatening wounds<\/p>\n The other two suspects ran off before police arrived, according to police.<\/p>\n Police identified the employee as Hamzeh Abushariah, 33, of D.C.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n 0 \/ 1 \/ 2 Man arrested after gun incident<\/strong><\/p>\n An intoxicated 25-year-old Summerland Key man armed with a revolver was arrested early Sunday morning after attacking two women during a fight over his access to his car keys.<\/p>\n Andres Raymond Vega was charged with domestic battery, aggravated battery and battery on a person 65-years-old or older.<\/p>\n Multiple Deputies and Detectives responded to a residence on the 24000 block of Caribbean Drive West on Summerland Key at approximately 12:30 a.m. regarding fight in progress with shots fired.<\/p>\n No life threatening injuries were reported.<\/p>\n They searched the house and did not initially find the suspect. They did find a 73-year-old female and a 43-year-old female with a bruised and swollen eye. Both females stated they would not give the suspect, later identified as Vega, his vehicle keys due to his intoxication. They stated Vega then choked the elder female and punched the younger female in the eye before he retrieved a revolver. The women stated that Vega placed the gun in his mouth and stated that he was going to kill himself if they didn\u2019t give him the keys.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n 0 \/ 1 \/ 0 Update- Shooting in Newton County deemed self-defense<\/strong><\/p>\n By Jeff Lehr Newton County Sheriff Chris Jennings said deputies responded to a report of a domestic disturbance on Norway Road and found Cody S. Bowman, 36, there with gunshot wounds, and Joseph Ward, 23, with an injury from having been struck in the head with a machete.<\/p>\n Bowman was taken to a Joplin hospital for treatment of his wounds. Assault charges were filed on him Friday, and the sheriff indicated he would be transported to the Newton County Jail once he is released from the hospital. Bowman is charged with first-degree assault, first-degree burglary and two counts of armed criminal action.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
