Man shot during Saturday morning break-in, deputies say<\/strong>
\nAccording to law enforcement, the man was trying to enter the home through a window when the homeowner told him she had a gun<\/em><\/p>\n

COLUMBIA, S.C. \u2014 According to the Richland County Sheriff’s Department, a man was shot while attempting to break into a home on Great North Road. <\/p>\n

According to RCSD, on Saturday, March 28 around 8 a.m., deputies were called to a break-in happening on the 500 block of Great North Road.<\/p>\n

When they arrived, they found a man in the driveway who had been shot in the upper body. He was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the report. <\/p>\n

The homeowner told law enforcement that the man was trying to enter her home through a window and when she told him she had a gun, he threatened to come in and use it on her. <\/p><\/blockquote>\n

2 people dead, others hospitalized after home invasion at Texas City apartment<\/strong>

TEXAS CITY, Texas \u2014 What started as investigations into three separate cases have all been linked to a home invasion in Texas City, according to police. The incident has left at least two people dead and three others hospitalized.<\/p>\n

The Texas City Police Department said three masked gunmen entered an apartment on 5th Avenue South near Martin Luther King Street around 4:15 a.m. <\/p>\n

When officers arrived, they found a 19-year-old male resident dead and his 20-year-old girlfriend suffering from multiple injuries. She had been shot in the head and hand. <\/p>\n

The woman said the men had forced their way into the apartment, a shootout erupted between her boyfriend and the suspects, and then the men left.<\/p>\n

While searching the area around the apartment, officers also found a juvenile who had been shot.<\/p>\n

While police were investigating that scene, reports came in about a car crash on 4th Avenue South near 10th Street South. Officers said the driver, who is believed to be a suspect, was found dead. Police said a handgun was found inside the vehicle.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
