2 separate fatal shootings in Montco deemed self-defense, DA says<\/strong><\/p>\n

\nEAGLEVILLE, Pa. (KYW Newsradio) \u2014 The Montgomery County District Attorney\u2019s Office has ruled that two separate fatal shootings from last month are justified as self-defense.<\/p>\n

Robert Pollack, 55, was shot and killed in Collegeville on Feb. 16, after he kicked in a door of a home on East Third Avenue and pointed his gun at two people in the house.<\/p>\n

Twelve days later, 28-year-old Alan Womack was shot and killed in the parking lot of an LA Fitness in King of Prussia.<\/p>\n

The District Attorney\u2019s Office said Womack started an argument with someone he didn\u2019t know during a pick-up basketball game inside the gym, then waited for that man outside. Investigators say when Womack pulled a gun in the parking lot and racked a round into the chamber, the other man pulled a gun from his backpack and shot Womack in the chest.<\/p>\n

All guns involved were legally owned and carried.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Coronavirus argument in Ann Arbor leads to shooting death, police email says<\/strong><\/p>\n

\nAn Ann Arbor man shot and killed his roommate Thursday night after an argument about COVID-19 restrictions, according to information posted on a neighborhood social media site.<\/p>\n

According to the letter, the shooting occurred after the deceased came at his roommate with a crowbar. The shooter then called police. The man was pronounced dead at the scene.<\/p>\n

The incident came to light when Ann Arbor Councilman Jack Eaton posted messages about the shooting from the city’s police chief on nextdoor.com.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
