Stabbing death believed to be \u2018justifiable homicide\u2019<\/strong><\/p>\n

A coroner\u2019s inquest jury of six Ozark County residents has found the stabbing death of Robert Christian Chambers of Gainesville on Feb. 12 to be \u201cjustifiable homicide.\u201d The decision came Thursday afternoon.<\/p>\n

The Ozark County Times is reporting the opinion of the coroner\u2019s inquest jury is only taken as a consideration by the prosecutor. It is not a legally binding verdict. The prosecutor may still file charges.<\/p>\n

The jury was charged with determining if criminal charges should be filed in connection with the incident or if the action was the result of non-criminal self-defense.<\/p>\n

Chambers died at a home near the Arkansas-Missouri state line, after he was reportedly stabbed in the chest with a \u201csword\u201d following the break out of a fight.<\/p>\n

The identity of the man who stabbed Chambers has not been released.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

KSP: Homeowner believed to have shot, killed intruder in Spencer Co.<\/strong><\/p>\n

\nSPENCER COUNTY, Ky. (WAVE) \u2013 Kentucky State Police are investigating a fatal shooting in Taylorsville in Spencer County.<\/p>\n

KSP Trooper Stuart Jackson confirmed to WAVE 3 News that just before 1:30 p.m. Thursday, KSP Post 12 was called in reference to a disturbance at a home on the 4800 block of Plum Creek Road.<\/p>\n

Trooper Jackson said when investigators with KSP Post 12 and the Spencer County Sheriff\u2019s Office arrived on the scene, they found a man dead in the home. The initial investigation shows the man entered the home and was confronted by the homeowner, who shot and killed him.<\/p>\n

Their names have not been released.<\/p>\n

No charges have been filed.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Police: Man robbed teacher, shot by homeowner during break-in<\/strong><\/p>\n

\nA man has been charged, accused of robbing a teacher at knife point and then breaking into a home where he was shot by a homeowner.<\/p>\n

Flint Police were called to the 1000 block of Garden on Feb. 11 for reports of a shooting.<\/p>\n

People in the home said that a man, later identified as Jacob Adam Sword, was armed with a knife and was attempting to break into their home. They shot him, and then held him until police arrived.<\/p>\n

During the same time-frame, police said it was reported that a teacher at a nearby elementary school had just been robbed at knife point. Officers said it happened after students had been dismissed.<\/p>\n

Officers said the description of the man matched that of the man who was taken into custody at the home on Garden.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Two Bryan police officers injured after accidental shooting<\/strong><\/p>\n

\nAccording to officials, two officers with the department’s Tactical Response Team were injured when the gun went off. They were taken to CHI St. Joseph Regional Health Hospital to be treated.<\/p>\n

Both officers were released the same night.<\/p>\n

The department says an administrative review of policies, procedures, and training will take place to determine what can be done to ensure that similar incidents never occur.<\/p>\n

Their primary concern is the safety and well-being of the officers and the department as a whole, the release said.<\/p>\n

No other details were immediately released.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
