911 CALL: \u2018I just killed him,\u2019 woman won\u2019t face charges after deadly shooting<\/strong><\/p>\n

AUGLAIZE COUNTY \u2014 A St. Marys woman will not face charges after she said she shot and killed her husband earlier this month in self-defense.<\/p>\n

“My husband’s been beating me. I just killed him,\u201d Stephanie Sweigart told 911 dispatchers. “He was beating me. He was going to kill me. He had a knife.”<\/p>\n

Stephanie Sweigart\u2019s husband Wesley Sweigart was found dead inside the house in the 200 block of Pershing Drive Feb. 8.<\/p>\n

Stephanie Sweigart was taken into custody following the shooting. A grand jury declined to indict her for the shooting, the prosecutor’s office said.<\/p>\n

She told dispatchers she was assaulted in the living room of the house and her husband told her to go back to the bedroom, according to the call.<\/p>\n

“He told me that if I didn’t go\u2026he was going to hurt me. He was going to stab me,\u201d Stephanie Sweigart told dispatchers.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Security Officer Fatally Shoots Armed Man at Apartment Complex: Dallas Police<\/strong>
\nThe guard was interviewed and released<\/em><\/p>\n

\nOne person was found dead with a gunshot wound outside of an apartment building in Dallas on Tuesday night, police say.<\/p>\n

Officers responded at about 8:30 p.m. to the 5300 block of Monmouth Lane where they found Jamal Patterson near the sidewalk and apartment breezeway, police said.<\/p>\n

Patterson, 26, became upset after a commissioned security officer told him that he could not work on his vehicle in the parking lot, police said.<\/p>\n

The guard and witnesses told police that Patterson punched the guard multiple times before going into his apartment to get a handgun, police said.<\/p>\n

The guard shot Patterson multiple times after Patterson returned with a weapon, chambered a round and pointed it at the security officer, police said.<\/p>\n

Patterson died at the scene. The officer called 911 and cooperated with the investigation. He was interviewed, and later released by police.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Two arrested in botched home robbery in Iowa Falls<\/strong><\/p>\n

\nOWA FALLS \u2013 A Mason City man and his girlfriend have been arrested in a home robbery after their victim grabbed their gun.<\/p>\n

The victim then fired off two shots in self defense, missing the assailants.<\/p>\n

Iowa Falls police arrested Matthew Shawn Victor Bridges, 28, of Mason City, formerly of Eldora, and Ny\u2019Jaya Ryan Foster, 19, of Charles City, for first-degree robbery, first-degree burglary and going armed, intimidation.<\/p>\n

Court records allege that the two forced their way into a home at 1210 Ellis Ave. on Saturday in an effort to collect on a debt. Once inside, Bridges struck a resident with an Asp collapsible baton and asked Foster to hand him a .38-caliber revolver she was carrying.<\/p>\n

The victim snatched the gun from Foster and shot at Bridges, who fled the house.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
