{"id":95427,"date":"2020-02-09T13:29:26","date_gmt":"2020-02-09T17:29:26","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/valorguardians.com\/blog\/?p=95427"},"modified":"2022-01-23T22:42:56","modified_gmt":"2022-01-24T03:42:56","slug":"leroy-foley-and-the-dd-214","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.azuse.cloud\/?p=95427","title":{"rendered":"Leroy Foley and the DD-214"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.azuse.cloud\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/02\/foley-and-dd214.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-95428\" src=\"https:\/\/www.azuse.cloud\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/02\/foley-and-dd214.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"355\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.azuse.cloud\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/02\/foley-and-dd214.jpg 600w, https:\/\/www.azuse.cloud\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/02\/foley-and-dd214-300x178.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.azuse.cloud\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/02\/foley-and-dd214-500x296.jpg 500w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>You may recall the recent <a href=\"https:\/\/www.azuse.cloud\/?p=95253\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">post<\/a> that we did on Leroy Foley.\u00a0 Foley is currently a Clyde Texas police officer and is running for Sheriff of Callahan County.\u00a0 The election is March 3, 2020.<\/p>\n<p>Well, a DD-214 has surfaced and had multiple postings on Facebook.\u00a0 A copy of this DD-214 was also sent to admins at Military Phony.\u00a0 We straightened it out for readability \/ <span data-dobid=\"hdw\">aesthetic<\/span> purposes and redacted information that should not be released to the public.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.azuse.cloud\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/02\/foley-dd214-original.jpg\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-95429\" src=\"https:\/\/www.azuse.cloud\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/02\/foley-dd214-original.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"656\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.azuse.cloud\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/02\/foley-dd214-original.jpg 2700w, https:\/\/www.azuse.cloud\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/02\/foley-dd214-original-229x300.jpg 229w, https:\/\/www.azuse.cloud\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/02\/foley-dd214-original-768x1007.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.azuse.cloud\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/02\/foley-dd214-original-254x333.jpg 254w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 500px) 100vw, 500px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Although it looks official, having a partial stamp at the bottom with a seal from the County of Williamson, it should be pointed out that this DD-214 does not have a clean chain of custody as it has passed through many hands.\u00a0 Therefore, we cannot speak to its authenticity.<\/p>\n<p>Oddly enough, some have presented this document as &#8220;proof&#8221; that Foley&#8217;s claim of Airborne Ranger, Sniper, and having been awarded both the Silver Star and Purple Heart are true.\u00a0 Others have presented it as proof that he is not being truthful.<\/p>\n<p>Whatever its origins, and whatever people believe in terms of helping\/hurting this case &#8211; we can tell you with certainty that this DD-214 is a fake and forgery.\u00a0 The commenters at TAH have combed over it and pointed out some things that help to draw the conclusion it is a fake.\u00a0 We will list them below with credit to the person making the comment.<\/p>\n<p>Also, we would like to post a marked up one for convenience and quick reference.\u00a0 This input was consolidated in order to make it easier for civilians in Clyde Texas, Callahan Texas and the media to focus on what to look for.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.azuse.cloud\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/02\/foley-dd214-markup.jpg\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-95441\" src=\"https:\/\/www.azuse.cloud\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/02\/foley-dd214-markup.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"685\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.azuse.cloud\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/02\/foley-dd214-markup.jpg 3100w, https:\/\/www.azuse.cloud\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/02\/foley-dd214-markup-263x300.jpg 263w, https:\/\/www.azuse.cloud\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/02\/foley-dd214-markup-768x877.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.azuse.cloud\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/02\/foley-dd214-markup-292x333.jpg 292w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>We would encourage everybody concerned with the facts of this case to order Foley&#8217;s official military records in order to have the results sent to you directly and compare it with military claims and this document that has been floated around.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>COMMENTS &#8211; BLOCK BY BLOCK<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><strong>OVERALL:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>TOP RIGHT:<\/strong> \u201cAreas render form void\u201d the word Void is misspelled \u201cVIOD.\u201d <em>(martinjumper)<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>BLOCKS:<\/strong> My Army DD214 has light tan blocks for some of the sections. (e.g. name, SSAN, and etc. Other blocks are white, e.g. Primary Speciality, Decorations and etc. You would think that the copy of Leroy Folly\u2019s DD 214 would at least have a darker shade, even after running through a copy machine, the tan blocks. <em>(Mustang Major)<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>SCHOOLS:<\/strong> My DD 214 lists my schools by the name of the course, e.g BASIC ABN; not Airborne Certification. The names come right off of the Officer or Enlisted record briefs. I am sure the course names are standardized. <em>(Mustang Major)<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>WHITE SPACE:<\/strong> Blocks 13, 14, and 18 of my DD 214 are filled from the left edge to the right edge and single spaced. My blocks 13 &amp; 14 are completely used up and the last entry in block 18 is the issue date\/\/NOTHING FOLLOWS. This is done to avoid typing in bogus info after the DD 214 is issued. Blocks 13, 14, 18 of Leroy Foley\u2019s DD 214 have plenty of space. (All of the Army types reading this, take a look at their DD 214 and see how the format on yours compares to Leroy Foley\u2019s DD 214.) <em>(Mustang Major)<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>FONT:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Proportional vs. Mono-Spaced Font.\u00a0 Mixed case and lower case vs. CAPS for entries.<em>\u00a0(Daisy Cutter)<\/em><\/li>\n<li>Fonts and Font Sizes on the DD214 are INCONSISTANT.<em> (ninja)<\/em><\/li>\n<li>Should be ONE Font with ONE Font size.<em> (ninja)<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>BLOCK 1:\u00a0 <\/strong>Typo on Defense Department form vs entry area &#8211; Name \u201c(Last, Frist, Middle)\u201d <em>(Mason)<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>BLOCK 6: <\/strong>Reserve obligation term date has a 1997 year but the form was purportedly filled out in 1999 so that should be blank. <em>(martinjumper)<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>BLOCK 7b:<\/strong> \u201cCity and state\u201d should be \u201cCity and state, or complete address if known\u201d <em>(Compton)<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>BLOCK 8a: <\/strong>His DD214 has \u201cFORCOM\u201d followed by \u201cRC.\u201d\u00a0 The correct wording is \u201cFORSCOM\u201d and \u201cFC\u201d should be after that, not \u201cRC\u201d unless times have changed.\u00a0 Is he is thinking RC for the 75th RANGER Regiment (Reserve Component)? If not Ranger qualified but airborne qualified it would be 11B2P. The longest Ranger school has ever lasted is nine weeks back when they had that desert phase.
