What weekend would be complete without news from the Hogg front? AW1 Rod sends us this article on some of the odder comments he’s tweeting from the halls of academia. His parents need to yank him out of Harvard and demand a tuition refund.<\/p>\n

Well, that didn\u2019t take long.<\/p>\n

After only one semester at Harvard University, anti-gun activist David Hogg has already started making bizarre claims about race, history, and gun control. It\u2019s not the 19-year-old\u2019s first off-the-wall comment (far from it), but this revisionist history sounds like something that can only originate in our centers of higher learning.<\/p>\n

In a tweet posted earlier this week, Hogg appeared to claim that the \u201cgun violence prevention movement\u201d was started \u201ccenturies ago\u201d by \u201calmost entirely black, brown and indigenous lgbtq women and non binary people.\u201d<\/p>\n

As noted by the Washington Examiner<\/a>, Hogg has a history of making strange connections between the gun rights debate and racial issues. Last year he said in an interview with MSNBC that pro-gun culture has roots in genocide and white supremacy.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think it comes down to reckoning with our history and our history of white supremacy in the United States and the fact that we live in a post-genocidal society oftentimes that was orchestrated by the United States government,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
