Jackson couple awaken to find man holding baby breaking through their front door<\/strong> By Morgan Howard and David Kenney \u201cWe heard a loud banging at our door,” Harlen Cavett said. “By the time I came out of the bedroom, I see the person in the glass.\u201d<\/p>\n Cavett says suddenly the man burst through the door. He raised his gun and fired, and then stopped stunned to see what was in his arms.<\/p>\n \u201cI saw he had a baby girl and he was holding the baby like a human shield,” Cavett said. \u201cHe ran through my house and went in there and got in my bed holding the baby as such in my bed.\u201d<\/p>\n Harlen says the man started mumbling strange things. We will continue to try to stop it before it starts and we’ll make sure that with any investigation we’re bringing folks to justice.”<\/p>\n He conceded the shooting mirrors “a problem in Kansas City.”<\/p>\n “We’ve said a few times that it is an epidemic of gun violence.
