3 killed, 13 wounded in Chicago weekend shootings<\/strong> Pizza delivery driver fights back, shoots 3 of 4 would-be robbers, police say<\/strong><\/p>\n CHARLOTTE, N.C. \u2014 Police are investigating after a pizza delivery driver shot three of four people who they said ambushed him and tried to rob him overnight outside an east Charlotte apartment complex.<\/p>\n It happened just before midnight at the Hillrock Estates Apartments on Magnolia Hill Drive.<\/p>\n Police said the victim was delivering pizza to the apartment complex when four suspects approached him and aimed what he thought was a rifle at his head.<\/p>\n The victim, who was armed with his own weapon, fired it at the robbers.<\/p>\n Police said the suspects ran off after the shooting and that the victim was able to call 911. Officers were able to quickly catch three of the suspects near a laundromat on Kilborne Drive.<\/p>\n \u201cI heard some gunshots earlier in the night, and I looked out my window and there (were) cops everywhere,\u201d said Danny Melenfant, who lives in the complex. \u201cThey had somebody at gunpoint.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n 0 \/ 3 \/ 0 Georgia officer heading to part-time job stops robbery<\/strong><\/p>\n (AP) — Authorities say a police officer on his way in his patrol car to a part-time job stopped an armed robbery and fired shots at several suspects.<\/p>\n The Georgia Bureau of Investigation says the Baldwin County deputy noticed a clerk was being held at gunpoint at a Quick Pantry store in Milledgeville around 5:40 p.m. Saturday.<\/p>\n Agents say as the deputy pulled into the parking lot, the clerk ran out of the store, followed by the robbery suspects.<\/p>\n Authorities say the deputy fired at the men and held two of the three suspects at gunpoint until additional officers arrived.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n 0 \/ 2 \/ 0 Man stops would-be burglar at gunpoint in California home<\/strong><\/p>\n LODI, Calif. (KTXL) — A would-be burglar was caught by surprise recently after entering a woman’s downtown Northern California apartment.<\/p>\n The woman was not home but her boyfriend was and when he saw a man he didn\u2019t know, he pulled out his gun.<\/p>\n \u201cSo, it\u2019s just I think a real important lesson to lock your doors even when you\u2019re home now,\u201d said Colleen Brown, whose Lodi home was broken into.<\/p>\n Surveillance video shows the suspect jumping over Brown\u2019s back fence and crawling up the stairs right by her barking dogs.<\/p>\n \u201cWalked right by them, no fear. Didn\u2019t even stop at the dogs,\u201d Brown said.<\/p>\n Brown said she believes he stayed low so people walking by in the alley wouldn\u2019t see him — but the suspect never expected someone to be inside.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
