Thousands of patriotic Americans peacefully demonstrated in Richmond, VA. Groups like ANTIFA talked about showing up. It didn’t appear that they did show up. Or, if they did show up, they restrained themselves from doing what they normally do.<\/p>\n

Many of the demonstrators were armed. Contrary to how they were portrayed, the demonstrators were predominantly civil, respectful, and were willing to have a dialogue.<\/p>\n

However, someone familiar to us quickly chimed in. He is currently matriculated at Harvard University. With his next birthday being his 20th, he took to social media to drop his intellectual contribution to this debate.<\/p>\n

Additionally, he appeared to speak on behalf of veterans’ rights. Despite David Hogg’s pointing to this as white supremacists trying to intimidate minorities and children, the demonstrators transcended demographics. They showed up as Americans standing up for a natural right.<\/p>\n

From the Washington Times:<\/span><\/p>\n

“VA is in a state of emergency because white supremacists and nazi’s are using their 2nd amendment rights to shutdown the 1st amendment rights of students, veterans, and clergy,” he wrote.<\/p>\n

The march also is racist because white people can carry weapons and some black people get killed, he explained.<\/p>\n

The nearly-20-year-old Harvard student reasoned that “17 y\/o Trayvon Martin was shot on his way to get some skittles. Yet there are thousands of white men able to march around openly caring assault weapons on Capitol grounds. This is not about self-defense it’s about the enforcement of white supremacy.”<\/p>\n

He also retweeted a similar claim by Bishop Talbert Swan, a Massachusetts NAACP chapter president, that when white people wield guns, it’s to control black people.<\/p>\n

“White men carrying assault rifles to the VA state capital. Must’ve traded in the tiki torches this time around. This ain’t about gun rights, it’s about white supremacy, intimidation, and keep Blacks and other non whites ‘in their place,'” Mr. Swan wrote.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
