ARMED ROBBER SHOT, KILLED BY ARMED MAN IN WEST DALLAS<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Dallas Police Department is investigating the shooting death of an alleged armed robber that occurred late last night in west Dallas.<\/p>\n

Officials say a homeowner was hosting a social gathering in the front yard of a house when three suspects robbed the party at gunpoint. One of the individuals at the party, who police say is a licensed handgun carrier, produced his weapon and shot one of the robbers.<\/p>\n

One robber was shot and two others fled the scene. The injured robber was transported to the hospital and pronounced deceased.<\/p>\n

The handgun carrier provided a statement to police regarding the incident, and was released. The case will be referred to a Dallas County grand jury.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

BRADENTON, Fla. \u2014 A sleeping man woke up to find a stranger pointing a pistol at his head, deputies say.<\/p>\n

It happened just after 11 a.m. Friday on 27th Street West in Bradenton.<\/p>\n

Investigators say the intruder went into the man’s house, fired the gun next to his head, and began to pistol whip him.<\/p>\n

The man fought back.<\/p>\n

During a scuffle, deputies say the intruder dropped the pistol — allowing the homeowner to grab it and shoot him.<\/p>\n

The homeowner then ran next door for help.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Police spokeswoman Ofelia Miramontez said James Centron Taylor Mitchell, 18, forced his way into the home on Corinne Dr. a little before 10 a.m.<\/p>\n

The homeowner fired multiple gunshots at the man who then ran away.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
