Florida cop shoots 1, injures another during botched traffic stop<\/strong><\/p>\n

\nA Jacksonville cop fatally shot one man and injured another while attempting to stop a vehicle that was driving the wrong way down a street Sunday night, investigators said.<\/p>\n

The incident unfolded around 9:20 p.m. after Officer N.E. Lawson tried to pull over a vehicle that was going south in a northbound lane, the Florida Times-Union reported.<\/p>\n

A brief police chase ensued before the vehicle crashed into another car, injuring two people, then slammed into a pedestrian bridge, Jacksonville Police Chief T.K. Waters told reporters during a news conference.<\/p>\n

After the crash, Lawson approached the vehicle. An exchange took place, and the officer \u201cended up firing his service weapon several times,\u201d Waters said.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

JeffCo Deputies: Man shot by father while hitting girlfriend with dog chain<\/strong><\/p>\n

ADGER, Ala. (WBRC) – The Jefferson County Sheriff\u2019s Office is investigating a shooting that deputies say happen during a domestic situation.<\/p>\n

Deputies were dispatched to the 10000 block of Camp Oliver Road in Adger late Sunday night and found a man suffering from a gunshot would to his stomach. Witness told police the injured man was hitting his girlfriend with a dog chain.<\/p>\n

Witnesses say the man\u2019s father tried to stop the assault and the man threatened to get his shotgun. That\u2019s when deputies say the father shot the man.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
