\nA man shot at two carjackers Monday morning in Jefferson Park on the Northwest Side, police say.<\/p>\n

Two males ran off unharmed but were arrested shortly after, Chicago police said.<\/p>\n

The pair attempted to steal a woman\u2019s car about 7:15 a.m. in the 4800 block of North Moody Avenue when the woman\u2019s acquaintance saw one of them grab for their waistband, police said.<\/p>\n

The acquaintance, a 26-year-old man, pulled out his own gun and fired shots at the carjackers but didn\u2019t hit anyone, according to police, who said he had a valid concealed carry license.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Maryville Police investigating two weekend shootings at Walnut Street residence<\/strong><\/p>\n

Officers responded to two shootings at the same residence in Maryville over the weekend.<\/p>\n

Maryville Police Chief Tony Crisp confirmed four shots were fired into a residence on Walnut Street around 7 a.m. Saturday morning.<\/p>\n

Four people were in the house at the time of the shooting, Crisp said, but none required medical treatment. The only injury was sustained by a 19-year-old man whose left ear was hit by bullet or wall fragments.<\/p>\n

Crisp reported the injury was \u201cnon-life-threatening and did not require medical attention.\u201d<\/p>\n

According to Crisp, a bit over 24 hours later, Maryville Police officers responded to another call at the same residence early Monday morning.<\/p>\n

A 22-year-old living in the house reported to law enforcement he saw a person with a black hoodie and gun standing outside of the house near a window. The homeowner fired one shot, but did not strike the individual, who fled the scene.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Police: 15-year-old killed woman at her home, got into shootout with victim’s husband<\/strong><\/p>\n

BATON ROUGE — Officials say a double-shooting in the relatively quiet Woodlawn Acres area left one woman dead and a teen injured Monday night.<\/p>\n

Officials say a 15-year-old intruder approached 74-year old Angela Haymon at her Morel Drive home around 9:38 p.m., and shot and killed her while she was in her carport.<\/p>\n

According to deputies with the East Baton Rouge Sheriff’s Office, Haymon had been inside, but after hearing a noise in her carport, stepped outside to investigate.<\/p>\n

A short time later, her husband heard gunfire, armed himself with a gun and confronted the intruder.<\/p>\n

As the teen and the man exchanged gunfire, the teen was hit. The injured juvenile fled the scene and sought assistance from a nearby residence.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
