Windham homeowner holds suspect in chase at gunpoint for police<\/strong> A Windham homeowner held a fugitive at gunpoint Friday morning until police arrived and arrested him.<\/p>\n The homeowner, whom police did not identify, found Daniel Wayne Spooner, 34, who allegedly fled police after a high-speed chase Thursday night, hiding in a shed on the property at Otter Brook Farm at about 8 a.m. Friday.<\/p>\n Spooner was taken to Cumberland County Jail in Portland without incident.<\/p>\n He is alleged to have led officers on a high-speed chase, with a child in his car, that ended in a crash on River Road on Thursday night.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n 0 \/ 1 \/ 0 SAPD: Man shot while trying to run over security guard with vehicle<\/strong> SAN ANTONIO \u2014 A man is fighting for his life after being shot in the head, and the shooting is the fallout from a fight at a nightclub, San Antonio Police said.<\/p>\n The incident took place around 3:30 a.m. Saturday on the city’s northeast side.<\/p>\n Police said the couple was arguing at a club when a security guard broke them up. The guard then offered to drive the woman to another location to avoid further altercations.<\/p>\n The man followed the security guard and the woman down I-35. The guard pulled over on 35 and 410 West Bound Ramp.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n 0 \/ 1 \/ 0 Gunfire reported Thursday night outside Lansing Hooter\u2019s<\/strong><\/p>\n By FRANK VAISVILAS The shooting happened about 9:30 p.m. and initial reports were that gunfire occurred both inside and outside the restaurant located at 17060 Torrence Ave.<\/p>\n But officers later learned that the shooting only happened in the parking lot when an unknown person started shooting at two people leaving the restaurant.<\/p>\n One of the victims had a concealed carry permit and returned fire, according to police.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n 0 \/ 0 \/ 1 When law and morality contradict each other the citizen has the cruel alternative of either losing his sense of morality or losing his respect for the law. \u2014 Frederick Bastiat<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
