On the morning news, the representative from the Illinois 18th District was interviewed live. His response to the entire impeachment is that it’s a sham, because he had read all the evidence documents himself and found nothing that was done wrong.<\/p>\n

And then, while perambulating around the interwebs,\u00a0 I ran across this interesting post, with a link to the pdf document of the FISC’s response to Comey’s grabtastic FISA efforts. Simply put, FISA’s own Court has handed down a rebuke of Comey\u2019s FBI.<\/p>\n

As a lead-in, here\u2019s the first paragraph:<\/p>\n

“This order responds to reports that personnel of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) provided false information<\/em> to the National Security Division (NSD) of the Department of Justice, and withheld material information from NSD<\/em> which was detrimental to the FBI’s case, in connection with four applications to the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court (FISC) for authority to conduct electronic surveillance of a U.S. citizen named Carter W. Page. 1 When FBI personnel mislead NSD in the ways described above, they equally mislead the FISC.”<\/p>\n

Oops.<\/p>\n

Since the FISC is essentially a “secret” court, and those judges get their undies in a bunch about what Comey is doing, what does that say about him and the others? They fell all over themselves to do this, and now they are scolded for it.<\/p>\n

Unless I miss my guess on this, the FISC order has refuted the legitimacy of any, and perhaps all, charges against Trump. You might want to print that pdf out and keep it in a safe place.\u00a0 Stock your favorite treats, people. But never, ever take anything for granted.
