2 killed, 15 wounded in Chicago weekend shootings<\/strong> Attempted robbers scared off by man’s gun-toting wife in north Houston<\/strong><\/p>\n HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) — A gun-toting wife fought back against three men who attempted to steal money from her husband.<\/p>\n On Nov. 27, Houston police responded to reports of an attempted robbery in the 9000 block of Shady Lane.<\/p>\n Authorities say the woman’s husband was working outside of his house when he noticed a black four-door vehicle drive by his home slowly.<\/p>\n The man said the car made a U-turn and drove back towards his home and two men exited the vehicle and quickly ran up to him with guns. The man’s wife heard the commotion and grabbed a gun. She came out of the bedroom and pointed the gun at the two men, who then turned and shot towards her and ran away.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n 0 \/ 0 \/ 2 Livingston Parish sheriff\u2019s deputy shot off-duty at home, kills attacker <\/strong><\/p>\n WATSON, La. (KLFY) \u2013 One man is dead after an off-duty deputy-involved shooting in Livingston Parish.<\/p>\n Shortly before 1 a.m. today (Dec. 16), the Livingston Parish sheriff\u2019s deputy was at his home when he was reportedly confronted by an armed individual. A physical altercation occurred, in which both the deputy and his attacker discharged their guns. Both were struck by gunfire.<\/p>\n The attacker was pronounced dead at the scene, while the deputy was transported to a local hospital for treatment.
