Ex-PH2 posted about Nancy Pelosi’s latest rant here<\/a>, and this is in reference to a question asked related to impeachment<\/a>. As you guys have read here and elsewhere, someone asked Nancy Pelosi why she hated President Trump. This resulted in Nancy Pelosi going into a rant<\/a> arguing against the idea that she hated people.<\/p>\n From Fox News:<\/span><\/p>\n As a Catholic, I resent your using the word hate in a sentence that addresses me. I don’t hate anyone. I was raised in a way that is a heart full of love and always pray for the president. And I still pray for the president. And I pray for the president all the time, so don’t mess with me when it comes to words like that…<\/p><\/blockquote>\n With this statement, she is implying that she is all about love, not hate and that she was raised as a Catholic. As such, her actions are “coached” with a religious\/moral upbringing.<\/p>\n Since she brought up her Roman Catholic background, a comparison of what the Gospels say and her actions would be worth a look. A reading of the Bible, both of the Old Testament and of the New Testament, shows that the writers provided more meanings to a word than what we’d associate with the same word.<\/p>\n For example, “love” as Nancy Pelosi implies of her actions, is included in her actions. Many of the words that show up in the Bible, that focuses on knowledge, awareness, or other non-tangible actions, come with physical activity. Love, in this case, isn’t just what we associate with it.<\/p>\n Religious Definition of Love<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n In Matthew chapter 22, verses 36 through 40, Jesus specified what “love” is. When the Pharisees, wanting to entrap Jesus, asked him what the greatest commandment was, he replied by giving the intent of the 10 Commandments. The first part of his reply was to love God. The second part of his reply was to love your neighbor as yourself.<\/p>\n His actual response was more detailed, and he provided the intent of the 10 Commandments, statutes, and judgments.<\/p>\n In order to love God, one has to abide by the 1st through 4th commandments. In order to love your neighbor as yourself, you would have to abide by the 5th through 10th commandments.<\/p>\n The statutes and judgments that follow the 10 Commandments provide specific details on how to accomplish the 10 commandments. This is followed up with additional emphasis from the Book of Joshua through the book of Malachi. The New Testament packages these concepts.<\/p>\n So, if by “love”, we go by what the Bible says it is, how does Nancy Pelosi stack up with her “Catholic upbringing”?<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n Anybody reading the two transcripts of the telephone call between President Trump and his counterpart would have a hard time seeing the Democrats’ charges. No quid pro quo. Just two leaders interacting the way two presidents would be expected to interact.<\/p>\n How many times have we had a parent advise a child to not say anything about somebody else that isn’t true? Do not lie? Do not steal? Giving her the benefit of the doubt with regards to her upbringing claims… And assuming her upbringing is similar to ours, we would know right off the bat that she dishonored her parents by allowing this farce to occur.<\/p>\n By pushing the canard that President Trump committed impeachable offenses… And that she has to defend the Constitution, she is stealing the actual identity of the President in the minds of others. The witnesses and rules that she helped bring about resulted in one witness after another bearing false witness against the President.<\/p>\n She Behaved Similarly to Caiphas the High Priest<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n By going after President Trump this way, with the intent to negatively impact his presidency, or even his re-election chances in 2020, she and the Democrats are showing that they are coveting something they felt should’ve been theirs in the first place.<\/p>\n So far, we have listed a violation of the 5th, 8th, 9th, and 10th commandments… Four of the six commandments that must be abided by in order to truly “love your neighbor”.<\/p>\n So, based on the religious definition of “love”, there appears to be an inconsistency between Nancy Pelosi’s claims and with what she actually had allowed to happen. Her actions made her more like Caiphas the high priest, sans intent to take a life, than someone coached with moral authority.<\/p>\n If anything, she should be denied communion for her role in enabling and participating in this farce of an impeachment process.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
