Illinois girl, 14, tried to rob woman who shot her in chest, both charged, Chicago police say<\/strong><\/p>\n By Travis Fedschun The Chicago Police Department said in a news release on Saturday the incident happened around 5:45 p.m. in the city’s Little Village neighborhood, when 21-year-old Araceli Diaz met with the 14-year-old girl after the teenager arranged the meeting to buy a dog.<\/p>\n When the 14-year-old met up with Diaz, officials said the teen pulled out a pellet gun, struck the 21-year-old on the head with it and tried to take the dog without paying for it.<\/p>\n “We’re not sure where they met initially or how they communicated, but all we do know is that the 14-year-old did show up with other intentions and she pulled out a BB gun,” Chicago Police Officer Jose Jara told FOX32.<\/p>\n In response, Diaz then allegedly pulled out a handgun and shot the girl in the chest.<\/p>\n Chicago Police said in a news release the 21-year-old was found to have a valid Illinois Firearm Owner’s Identification card, or FOID card, to possess a weapon, but no concealed carry license.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n 0 \/ 2 \/ 0 Graham man shot during fight that broke out when he tried to break into home, deputies say<\/strong><\/p>\n GRAHAM, N.C. \u2014 A Graham man was shot Friday when a man tried to break into a home and a fight broke out, according to the Alamance County Sheriff\u2019s Office.<\/p>\n Tristan Antonio Chavez, 22, of Graham, was found with a gunshot wound when deputies responded to the 3200 block of S. NC 87 Highway when they were told about a shooting.<\/p>\n Chavez was taken to UNC Hospital in Chapel Hill.<\/p>\n Investigators interviewed a person who lives at the home and witnesses.<\/p>\n They learned that Chavez came to the home and began beating and kicking on the door and demanding to come in.<\/p>\n A person who lives at the home confronted him and they fought.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n 0 \/ 1 \/ 0 PD: Security guard shot at Phoenix motel, suspect sought<\/strong><\/p>\n PHOENIX – Phoenix Police are looking for a suspect accused of shooting at two security guards working at a motel.<\/p>\n The incident happened on Friday at 10:30 p.m.<\/p>\n Police say two men were working as security guards at the Super 8 near Interstate 17 and Northern Avenue when an unknown suspect, or suspects, shot at them.<\/p>\n One of the guards shot back as they drove away.<\/p>\n One guard suffered non-life threatening injuries and was taken to a hospital.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
