This appears to be a case where one group on the left is attacking someone on the left. Lynsey McCarthy-Calvert, a birth coach, mentioned facts that we’re familiar with… That women have certain traits and abilities that men don’t.<\/p>\n

Naturally, a segment of the transgendered population wasn’t too happy about her comment. They complained to the organization that she was with.<\/p>\n

She hints that she was subject to treatment that men, doing the same thing, “were not” subjected to. She either isn’t aware that men are also accused of transphobia or she chooses to be ignorant of that fact. There are transgendered “women” who accuse men, that refuse to have sex with “women” who have male parts, as “bigoted” or as “transphobes.”<\/p>\n

In response, Mrs McCarthy-Calvert posted a photograph on Facebook of a negligee-clad woman somersaulting underwater, with the wording: ‘I am not a “cervix owner” I am not a “menstruator” I am not a “feeling”. I am not defined by wearing a dress and lipstick. I am a woman: an adult human female.’<\/p>\n

Beneath it she wrote: ‘Women birth all the people, make up half the population, but less than a third of the seats in the House of Commons are occupied by us.’<\/p>\n

She claimed women were accused of transphobia more than men, arguing men were not ‘subjected to cries of bigotry and transphobia when they say they don’t want to have sex with a woman with a penis’. Most trans-women have not had their male genitalia removed.<\/p>\n

A Facebook follower accused her of using ‘absolutely disgusting language’, adding: ‘Also, you seem to be forgetting that not only women birth children.’<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

If folks want to go around claiming to be one of the “other genders”, that’s on them. However, they have to understand that the rest of society casts a vote in what eventually becomes their reality.<\/p>\n
