During the last decade, there was some talk among some bishops to deny then-Senator Kerry communion due to his support for abortion rights. In Catholicism, one must be “in good standing” to take part in the eucharist. This requires beliefs consistent with the church administering communion.<\/p>\n

Joe Biden learned this hands-on when Reverend Robert Morey refused to give the “bread” to him on the account of his stance on abortion.<\/p>\n

The Rev. Robert Morey said Monday that the 2020 Democratic presidential candidate attended Mass at Saint Anthony Catholic Church in Florence and was refused the sacrament because any “public figure who advocates for abortion places himself or herself outside of Church teaching.”<\/p>\n

“Sadly, this past Sunday, I had to refuse Holy Communion to Former Vice President Joe Biden,” Morey said. “Holy Communion signifies we are one with God, each other and the Church. Our actions should reflect that.”<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

This is just one example of the inconsistency between what’s specified and implied in the Bible, and what is argued by members of a certain political party. Committed murder? Mosaic Law prescribes the death penalty if it’s proven that it was done with bad intentions… And that the murderer did it. No calls to confiscate things that could be used to commit murder.<\/p>\n

And forget about “From each according to ability, to each according to need,” nonsense. The Bible advocates merit-based reward… To each according to their own work. Perhaps this may be one of the reasons that a certain party is waging war against religion.<\/p>\n
