The article about a growing number of gun owners in the Boston area is recent and also very relevant. As I indicated in the FGS article, the movement to create sanctuaries is growing, and we should keep up with it.

If you all like this, I will continue to post these reports.

The city of Needles, CA, is rebelling against the state’s strict gun laws, which do not recognize concealed carry licenses from other states.

https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2019/jul/16/needles-california-second-amendment-sanctuary-guns

From the article: Now that the Needles city council approved the “second amendment sanctuary” resolution, the city of Tehachapi, over 200 miles away is looking to pass similar legislation.

Williams is hoping that other towns like Eureka and Lake Tahoe will follow suit to create a coalition of “second amendment sanctuary” cities that can take their efforts to California legislators.

“I don’t know if it’ll go anywhere but at a certain point you have to make a stand,” Williams said of the potential to have a “carve-out” of looser gun laws for border towns. – article

From Tennessee: https://www.wbir.com/article/news/jefferson-and-sevier-counties-added-to-the-list-of-tennessee-gun-sanctuaries/51-7dc5d786-5960-4426-9893-7d398102bb0c

Commissioners in Jefferson County said it was important to them and members of the community to show support for the Second Amendment.

JEFFERSON COUNTY, Tenn. — Jefferson and Sevier Counties are now considered “gun sanctuaries.” They join Monroe, Blount and Loudon Counties who previously passed similar resolutions.

Both counties passed the Second Amendment gun sanctuary resolutions Monday night at their county commission meetings.
