Those 2nd Amendment sanctuary thingies keep popping up these days, kind of like popcorn plants after a good rain.<\/p>\n
For starters, in Nevada: The Sheriff of Humboldt County is – well, miffed, that the locals don’t understand him and his job.<\/p>\n

According to the county clerk, the group will have 90 days from when it files to collect 502 signatures and, if successful, proceed with a recall committee.<\/p>\n \u201cThey\u2019re taking up a fight against me on something the Legislature has to do, and they think I have the authority not to follow the law,\u201d Allen said in an interview Wednesday with\u00a0The Nevada Independent<\/em>. \u201cI do oppose this law. However, it\u2019s my not my job to oppose a law; my job is to enforce the law.\u201d – article.<\/p>\n Moving on: the good people of Washington State are also up in arms over a specific gun control act which involves self defense, and are trying to get it repealed.<\/p>\n https:\/\/www.ammoland.com\/2019\/10\/grassroots-revolt-to-repeal-wa-gun-control-initiative-1639-launched\/#axzz63GmO1M2y<\/p>\n From the article: I-1639 has already resulted in one federal lawsuit by the Second Amendment Foundation and National Rifle Association, one declared candidacy for governor by a small town police chief, refusal by sheriffs in a majority of the state\u2019s 39 counties to enforce provisions of the measure,<\/em> and the creation of a new crime, \u201cCommunity Endangerment.\u201d This carries either gross misdemeanor or Class C felony penalties, depending upon the violation.<\/p>\n And finally, if you remember that business last year in Parkland HS, which some snarky wanker tried to take advantage of, what they’re really after is repealing the 2nd Amendment without following the procedure to do so. Unfortunately, they don’t understand two things: repealing a federal law isn’t done with the snap of your fingers, and Prohibition did not work. In fact, it raised the rates of crime and alcoholism. And I do not understand why these people want to be sitting ducks.<\/p>\n
