Winstead passed around a resume claiming he retired after serving for 22 years in the Navy, achieved the rank of Master Chief (E-9), obtained a “Department of Defense Level 5 Clearance” (whatever that is), was Commanding Officer of SEAL Team 7, and…<\/p>\n

… [drum roll, please] …<\/span><\/p>\n

… was awarded the “Presidents Medal of Honor.”<\/p>\n

He offered proof of his Medal of Honor citation…<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

The Department of Defense Manpower Data Center showed no active duty service for Winstead.<\/p>\n

The National Personnel Records Center (NPRC) referred us to the Department of the Navy…<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

… and the Department of the Navy could find no records on him and referred us to the NPRC…<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

The Medal of Honor citation looked an awful lot like the one awarded to SEAL Michael Monsoor…<\/p>\n

So, it goes without saying that someone needs U.S. Navy service to become a SEAL in the first place.<\/p>\n

Then, one needs to be in combat and distinguish themselves to be awarded the Medal of Honor.<\/p>\n

NO Master Chief, NO 22 years, NO SEAL, NO Medal of Honor, NO Navy – NO record of any of these achievements.<\/p>\n
