Birmingham Police investigating fatal shooting on 7th Ave.<\/strong><\/p>\n by James FranklinWednesday, November 29th 2017<\/em><\/p>\n BIRMINGHAM, Ala. \u2014 Update: The driver was taken to police headquarters where he admitted to shooting the victim on 7th Ave.<\/p>\n The suspect says that the victim made sexual advances toward him. \nThe Birmingham Police Department attempted to stop a vehicle that was seen driving down 7th Avenue South around 1:00 A.M. with the headlights off. The driver of the vehicle refused to stop for the police, and crashed in the 3200 block of Highland Drive. After the crash, the driver ran from the car but was apprehended after a brief foot chase.<\/p>\n
