The moratorium on offshore oil drilling \u201cwill be reinstated,\u201d Inslee told CNSNews.com, but he did not specify whether he meant the executive branch moratorium or the one from the Interior Department. \u201cOne way or the other, it will be reinstated,\u201d said Inslee. \u201cOne way or the other, by any means necessary. \u201cWe are off the Pacific coast, and there would be a civil war,\u201d said Inslee. \u201cThere would be something like a secessionist movement if there was a serious attempt to [permanently] remove the moratorium.\u201d <\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Perhaps Mr. Inslee is not just retarded, he is also ignorant of history. Aside from far superior leadership the last secessionist movement also enjoyed an alliance of a significant portion of the country with a clear line of distinction between the two warring parties. When this line got a bit fuzzy West Virginia was created and presto, clear line again.<\/p>\n

This allowed Davis, Breckenridge, Lee and the boys to exploit total control of interior lines of communication. Why is this important? Because apparently Mr. Inslee hasn\u2019t managed an alliance of quite such a scope:<\/p>\n
