Domestic scuffle led to Wednesday night shooting, police say<\/strong> By RICK CURL Deputies were called to the home at 795 Brown Road off of Cool Springs Road around 6:30 p.m. Wednesday after a domestic dispute escalated into a reported shooting.<\/p>\n Harnett County Maj. Aaron Meredith told The Daily Record an argument over repair work to a vehicle resulted in 65-year-old Robin Brown shooting his 35-year-old son Robin Brown in the leg.<\/p>\n \u201cIt\u2019s still under investigation, but we believe it was done in self defense,\u201d Meredith said. \u201cBecause it appears to be self defense, no charges have been filed at this time.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n 0 \/ 1 \/ 0 Man shoots 1 intruder during home invasion in Catawba County, 1 still wanted<\/strong><\/p>\n CATAWBA COUNTY, N.C. (WBTV) – Deputies say an intruder was shot by a man during a home invasion in Catawba County Thursday morning. Deputies are still looking for the other intruder.<\/p>\n According to the Catawba County Sheriff\u2019s Office, deputies responded to a report of a breaking or entering in progress at a home on 37th St Dr NE in the St Stephens community around 10:30 a.m.<\/p>\n The man inside the home reported that he awakened to discover two armed men inside his home, so he shot at the suspects who then ran.<\/p>\n Deputies soon discovered that a man, identified as 20-year-old Barry MacMahan was being treated at the hospital for multiple gunshot wounds.<\/p>\n Investigators determined that MacMahan and 37-year-old Brian Maynor were the two intruders who went into the home. MacMahan and Maynor have been charged with felony breaking or entering and attempted common law robbery.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n 1 \/ 0 \/ 1 Suspected Burglar Fatally Shot by Resident in San Pedro<\/strong> A burglary suspect was fatally shot by a San Pedro resident Thursday morning.<\/p>\n The incident was reported about 7:15 a.m. in the 2800 block of South Carolina Street, Los Angeles Police Department Officer Drake Madison said.<\/p>\n Investigators discovered a resident in the home opened fire after someone apparently entered the property, Madison said.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n 1 \/ 0 \/ 0 Looks like two have left the gene pool, and one each indisposed and in the wind today, Delta Whiskies and Whiskettes. <\/p>\n UPDATE<\/span> Ed Morrissey notes that “the exact type of weapon used in self-defense has not been identified. However, a neighbor described the sound as an ‘assault weapon,’ and WSB-TV in Atlanta confirmed it to be a long-barrel semi-automatic.” This sounds like exactly the sort of weapon Beto O’Rourke and other 2020 Democrats would like to confiscate through compulsory “buy-backs.” <\/p><\/blockquote>\n
