Grantsville man shot roommate in self-defense, police say<\/strong><\/p>\n

\nGRANTSVILLE \u2014 An early morning shooting in Grantsville left one man injured and another under arrest, but not in connection with the shooting, according to police.<\/p>\n

About 4 a.m. Wednesday, police were called to a report of shots fired at a mobile home park, 520 W. Clark St., said Grantsville police officer Cody Painter. Officers arrived to find a man lying in the road with a gunshot wound.<\/p>\n

The alleged shooter was found hiding behind a shed in a nearby backyard, Painter said.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Armed neighbor shoots suspect stabbing woman in her front yard<\/strong><\/p>\n

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) — A man is dead and a woman is hospitalized after a house fire turned into a deadly shooting in north Houston.<\/p>\n

It happened on E. 35th Street near Arlington in Independence Heights around 10 a.m. Thursday.<\/p>\n

According to police and family, a man threw gasoline on the home and set it on fire.<\/p>\n

When the residents of the home ran outside, the suspect started stabbing a woman with broken glass. Police say an armed neighbor then shot the suspect.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

The shooting happened around 5:30 a.m. in the 4600 block of Varrelmann Avenue.<\/p>\n

Police said two men attempted to break into a home in the area when they were shot.<\/p>\n
