Store owner fires on alleged robbers<\/strong><\/p>\n

\nYOUNGSTOWN \u2014 A Youngstown store owner shot two men alleged to be involved in an armed robbery at his store Saturday afternoon.<\/p>\n

The men are hospitalized in critical condition at St. Elizabeth Youngstown Hospital.<\/p>\n

The incident occurred just before 2 p.m. at Conroy\u2019s Party Shop, 3518 South Ave., Youngstown police said.<\/p>\n

The men approached the store employees bearing weapons, according to Youngstown police.<\/p>\n

Robbery suspects Dalan Reynolds and Hawley Warren were taken to St. Elizabeth Youngstown Hospital, according to a police report.<\/p>\n

\u201cTwo men entered the store with their guns out,\u201d said Youngstown police Sgt. Ed Kenney. \u201cWhen they stepped towards store employees, the store owner was forced to fire on them to protect his employees.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Pregnant woman forced to shoot ex-lover during violent ride with toddler in car, police say<\/strong><\/p>\n

\nLOUISVILLE, Ky. \u2014 A pregnant mother describes the moments leading up to when police say she was forced to shoot her ex-boyfriend during a frightening ride through Louisville with their 1-year-old son in the car.<\/p>\n

“It was one of those situation, I wasn’t going to let him kill all of us,” the mother said while speaking with WLKY’s Tre Ward. “I wasn’t even thinking about me at that point. I was thinking about my child.”<\/p>\n

After months of separation, tensions ran high last Wednesday when police say Domonique Hughley, 33, grew angry because the mother of his children moved on following their break-up.<\/p>\n

“All of a sudden, I get a blow to the face,” the mother said.<\/p>\n

That alleged assault happened in front of White Owl Liquors in the 1300 block of Dixie Highway. In an attempt to escape, the woman rushed inside of the store for help.<\/p>\n

“The guy gave me the phone to call the police,” she said. “I wasn’t able to give them full details of what happened before he comes in there and grabs me up.”<\/p>\n

She said she was thrown into the back seat of her SUV as people at the store watched. According to investigators, Hughley then began speeding and swerving through traffic. Court records state he was threatening to crash the vehicle and “mess everyone up” and claimed he was going to take her “far away and kill her.”<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Woman shoots ex-boyfriend in chest as he tries to break into her home<\/strong>

SAN ANTONIO \u2014 A man in his 20’s is in the hospital with a gunshot wound to the chest after he tried to break into his ex-girlfriends home early Sunday.<\/p>\n

According to police on scene, the woman was home in the 800 block of Kirk Place when she heard someone trying to break in the back window around 2:00 a.m.<\/p>\n

The woman told police she grabbed her gun and stuck it outside the window.<\/p>\n

The man trying to break in, now identified only as her ex-boyfriend, tried to take the gun from her but she shot him before he could. <\/p><\/blockquote>\n
