A former Marine lost his guns over statements that he made.<\/p>\n

OregonLive reports<\/a> that Shane Kohfield stood outside the home of Portland’s mayor and using a loudspeaker, shouted the following:<\/p>\n

\u201cIf antifa gets to the point where they start killing us, I\u2019m going to kill them next,\u201d Kohfield, 32, said. \u201cI\u2019d slaughter them and I have a detailed plan on how I would wipe out antifa.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

The FBI\u2019s Joint Terrorism Task to took a series of extraordinary steps against Kohfield which included a temporary seizure of a cache of his firearms under Oregon\u2019s new \u201cred flag\u201d law aimed at preventing gun violence.<\/p>\n

In 2017, the Oregon Legislature narrowly passed a law giving judges discretion to pry guns from people not convicted of a crime who show signs they might shoot themselves or someone else.<\/p>\n

The task force also had the ex-Marine committed to a veterans\u2019 hospital in Portland. He spent the next 20 days there.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Kohfield surrendered his AR-15, a pistol, a rifle, and a shotgun.<\/p>\n

Kohfield said he’s done with attending protests or political demonstrations in Portland and said he felt like he did all he could to curb the violence on both sides.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
