You may have remembered Jeff Treu, whom we posted about here: https:\/\/www.azuse.cloud\/?p=87205<\/a><\/p>\n

For years, Treu had people believing he served in the Marine Corps.\u00a0 He was involved with law enforcement and even made Wisner Police Chief.\u00a0 When the story broke, he resigned as Wisner Police Chief on Friday, May 17, 2019<\/p>\n

Well, it seems that his certification for law enforcement has now been revoked.<\/p>\n

The Norfolk Daily News posted<\/a> about it.\u00a0 The Norfolk Daily News is a Nebraska local paper.<\/p>\n

The former police chief of Wisner has had his law enforcement certification revoked.<\/p>\n

Jeffery Treu, who resigned from his position in May following the discovery that he had fabricated a military career, voluntarily surrendered his certification in the state of Nebraska.<\/p>\n

At the July 16 regular meeting of the Police Standards and Advisory Council in Grand Island, an exhibit was offered that showed Treu had acknowledged a written complaint against him, was aware of his rights and chose not to dispute the allegations.<\/p>\n

Treu\u2019s certification was revoked based on statutory grounds of incompetence and office, neglect of duty and on the basis of a violation of the officer\u2019s oath of office and code of ethics.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
