Commerce City PD: Woman shoots at knife-wielding would-be robber who then flees<\/strong><\/p>\n by Eric Ruble The Commerce City Police Department says about 11:30 a.m., officers responded to the 14700 block of East 104th Avenue. The area is home to the Aspen Hills condominium complex.<\/p>\n When officers arrived, they met with a woman who said she was a realtor and was conducting an open house at a residence.<\/p>\n The woman told CCPD a white man in his late 20s or early 30s entered the home, threatened her with a knife and demanded her to give him some of her possessions.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n 0 \/ 0 \/ 1 Man fights back, shoots suspect during Knightdale home invasion, police say<\/strong><\/p>\n KNIGHTDALE, N.C. (WNCN) \u2014 The victim of a home invasion shot one of the intruders Saturday after two suspects forced their way into his Knightdale home while two small children were inside, police said.<\/p>\n The incident happened Saturday afternoon after \u201ca series of heated group text messages,\u201d Knightdale police said in a news release.<\/p>\n Two men then forced their way into an apartment at the Park Place Apartment complex in the 200 block of Luxury Lane, according to Knightdale police.<\/p>\n The pair \u201cburst\u201d through the front door and began assaulting the 26-year-old man who lives there, the news release said.<\/p>\n A woman and two small children were inside the apartment at the time.<\/p>\n \u201cDuring the attack, (the victim) was able to retrieve his handgun and shoot one of his assailants,\u201d police said in the release.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n 0 \/ 2 \/ 0 911 caller: Gunfire exchanged in possible Marshfield home invasion<\/strong><\/p>\n MARSHFIELD – Police are are investigating a report of gunfire in Brant Rock early Saturday morning after Marshfield Police Chief Phil Tavares said a 911 caller reported an armed intruder, and said they\u2019d exchanged gunfire.<\/p>\n Tavares said police were sent to a home on Cherry Street around 2:49 a.m. Saturday after a 911 call came in reporting a home invasion. He said a resident exchanged gunfire \u201cback and forth\u201d with a suspect, according to the caller.<\/p>\n Tavares said local, county and state law enforcement set up a perimeter around the home, but were unable to locate a suspect. He said it was an \u201cactive investigation\u201d that drew police with dogs, drones and a helicopter to the area.<\/p>\n On Saturday afternoon, 911 caller Kody Baker told a Patriot Ledger reporter he was woken up before the shots started because someone was in the house. Baker lives on Cherry Street with three other people. <\/p>\n \u201cWe have been here for almost two years and nothing like this has ever happened,\u201d he said.\n<\/p><\/blockquote>\n 0 \/ 0 \/ 1 No morts today, Delta Whiskies and Whiskettes.
