Unlike most, he put his thoughts down and sends them to us for our perusal and enjoyment. Here’s VOV:

The continued waste of time known as the Mueller Report.

Veritas Omnia Vincit

I am taking a short break from the Amendment series as the Mueller testimony was most interesting in what it didn’t reveal to change the report but what it did reveal about the purported author of said report.

I suspect all of you have by now at least heard some of the testimony from the other day. You know the testimony that Democrats so fiercely hoped would finally provide that smoking gun of criminality to one Donald J. Trump. As we’ve seen previously the Democrats have been trying every move they can think of to move that needle. After two and a half years the best they’ve come up with is about 95 votes out of 435 to move impeachment forward.

I’m not sure what anyone else expected from Mueller, but if you’ve been reading anything about the man, the myth, the carefully crafted legend one thing should be crystal clear about Mueller. Since the early days of his civilian government career this is a guy who has proven very capable at making sure he never leaves a trail that leads to a different conclusion than the one he set out to make. The Mueller report is classic in this regard, full of “we think this” or “we think that” and really quite short on “we know this” or “we know that”.

In spite of all the claims to the contrary the only thing Mueller has been able to prove is some people like to lie to investigators and Paul Manafort is a money laundering turd, which I believe was common knowledge for years. Democrats pressed Mueller to find something to move forward with their impeachment fantasies. Republicans countered with questions reinforcing the ambiguous nature of the report’s findings. The sturm und drang all revealed nothing that we didn’t already know about our President, he’s not a particularly honest man….I’m shocked by that revelation, aren’t you? If we knew nothing about Trump the reality star or Trump the businessman we certainly knew he was a compulsive liar. He lies as easily as most men change their socks. He lies when there isn’t any need to lie, if he isn’t the biggest liar we’ve had in the White House he is definitely a contender. That didn’t seem to matter to his voters when given the choice between him and the queen of liars, Mrs. Clinton. So thanks Mueller for underlining what was pretty obvious about this guy from the first time we met him.

What the report, and Mueller’s testimony, never discover is where the crimes are. Where the collusion lies that was the basis for the entire investigation.

What the testimony revealed to me however was far more telling than the report itself or the Democrats feeble attempts to make something out of whole cloth. That revelation came during the exchange between Representative Steve Chabot and Mr. Mueller where we discovered that the man whose name is on the report has no idea what Fusion GPS is, or who Glen Simpson is and that those facts are beyond his purview.

Now that was interesting to me. We the people have financed a 50 million dollar investigation that lasted the better part of two years and the guy running the investigation and whose name is on the report has no idea that the people who turned over the Dossier at the heart of the investigation were originally hired by the Democrats and he is unclear on the name of the organization and its founder.

Excuse me here, but what? No, really what the actual fuck are we supposed to believe here? That the epicenter of this investigation into collusion is completely unknown to Mueller? That he has no idea what’s in the report that has his name on it?

Was anyone else surprised at how often Mueller seemed less superman and far more decrepit old man confused by the questions?

If the Democrats pursue impeachment proceedings after that debacle on Wednesday I wish them good luck in 2024 because they will have given away their chances in 2020. Based on that testimony and the overall lack of conclusions in the Mueller Report I stand by the idea this was a massive waste of money and time. Nothing new in DC, but this one played out daily for all to speculate until it now sort of fizzles and sparks out into relative nothingness.

As always thank you for your reading, what were your takeaways from the testimony? What did I miss that you found revealing.

Let me know your thoughts,
VoV

Thanks VOV. I was just reading how Nadler et al intend to continue going full retard and initiate an “impeachment investigation,” whatever that is. First thing they want are all the Grand Jury materials that the Justice Department denied them the first time. And likely will this time, too.

VOV is working on an essay about the Seventh Amendment to the Constitution, but like most … Veritas Omnia Vincit Article- Mueller HearingsRead more

[238,332,15,6,5,340

post-89288","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-government-incompetence","category-guest-post","category-legal","category-media","category-politics","category-trump
["GET
