Police: Intruder likely also shot in home-invasion robbery that left Hot Springs man dead<\/strong><\/p>\n

\nAuthorities believe one of the intruders responsible for a deadly home-invasion robbery last month in Hot Springs was also shot during the crime.<\/p>\n

Officers found the body of Kenneth Kelly Jr., 23, on June 13 after responding to the 200 block of Portland Street, according to a news release by the Hot Springs Police Department. Authorities said Kelly was shot in his home during an apparent robbery by two male assailants. <\/p>\n

Investigators found blood at the scene that didn\u2019t match the victim\u2019s, suggesting that one of the intruders had also been shot, said Hot Springs Police Department Detective Scott Lampinen.<\/p>\n

Police described one of the robbers as standing roughly 6 feet 2 inches tall, with a medium build and twisted dreadlocks. The other robber stands about 5 feet 9 inches tall and has a slender build, according to authorities. Both assailants are believed to be in their early 20s or younger, the release states.<\/p>\n

Authorities said Kelly\u2019s friends and family and Carrigan Funeral Home are offering a $1,500 reward for information that results in arrests and convictions.<\/p>\n

Lampinen said investigators are also encouraging the public to recall anything that might help police locate a suspect. <\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Police name Manchester shooting victim; self-defense part of investigation <\/strong><\/p>\n

\nMANCHESTER \u2014 Authorities have released the name of the person shot and killed in the alley of a North End neighborhood and said self-defense could be a reason for the shooting.<\/p>\n

Manchester resident Jason Barry, 42, was named in a statement issued by Manchester police and homicide prosecutors. Barry died from a single gunshot wound to the head.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe Manchester Police Department has identified all the involved parties in the shooting and is actively investigating the incident, including the potential of a self-defense claim,\u201d the statement reads.<\/p>\n

The statement makes no mention of an arrest.<\/p>\n

The shooting took place shortly after midnight Thursday in an alley behind 874 Union St..<\/p>\n

On Friday, police spent most of the day in the alley behind the house. Both the house and alley were sealed off with crime tape.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Intruder shot during home invasion on Nick Davis Road<\/strong><\/p>\n

LIMESTONE COUNTY, Ala. \u2013 Police say a man was shot during a home invasion.<\/p>\n

Officials say they were called to the 27000-block of Nick Davis Road around midnight Monday. According to officials, the residents were woken by an unknown man rummaging through their house.<\/p>\n

Officials say that during a scuffle, one of the residents shot the intruder.<\/p>\n

The man was taken to the hospital but their condition is unknown, according to police.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
